If you are a foreigner and want to use the track go to the office and ask for permission first, the same as I did. I did a couple of sessions at the Ryan Brathwaite Track. Such a beautiful track surrounded mostly by vegetation and you are able to overlook the sea whilst running. I recommend training in the evening to see the sunset. Rubber in good condition with 8 lanes and changing rooms/bathroom available. People are respectful.

Named after Jamaican Olympic Sprinter and the title Worlds Fastest Man, this sports stadium is a fitting honor in his name at the Island's main University Campus...UWI.
It's not a grand stadium, but is efficient in the holding of various sporting events from athletics to field sports like hockey...with invitational sports clubs from around the region...along with the local annual school sports competitions.
Sporting activities are held during the day and night with good lighting and ample stadium seating for patrons on the western and eastern sides of the complex, bleachers are placed on the grounds with tents for additional seating.
This sporting complex is clean and comfortable for spectators and seems to be well maintained..with a new look of the track in recent years from the previous one.
Security personnel is always on hand...not opened to the public for free recreational purposes like others, but for hosted events and sporting activities.
My recent visit was for the first Barbados Grand Prix of athletics which is to become an annual event on the sporting calendar, this event is to showcase the Island's best and upcoming athletes for the International sporting stage.

Decent track and field facilities, maintenance is not the best. Sand pit has weeds and grass, track is starting to get hard. Not accessible to public when not in use or competition. Stands and facilities are in good condition.

Huge stadium, very clean, staff are so helpful. Parking is easy. Using public transportation the walk is not far..9F brings you close to university hill in St. James

Very nice stadium but could do with more permanent cover to protect patrons from the elements. In addition, I believe foldaway chairs should not be allowed in the seated area as they take up quite a bit of room limiting the overall seating capacity of the stadium.
