Firstly, I believe it's important to note we are a family of 4 and very experienced travellers with & without children, having travelled all over the world from the middle East, Asia, US, Europe, we have experienced a full range of different cultures, food, outstanding service, 7 star Hotels but also the not so good and being frequent travelers, travelling approximately 4-5 times per year, we were looking forward to travelling to a new destination, Barbados. This was our first time in Barbados as a family, our expectations were not high, neither low, we didn't really know what to expect, (other than beautiful beaches!!) however our expectations were exceeded and we sit here failing to find fault. We found the staff to be incredibly helpful, friendly, warm, welcoming, fantastic with our children, this was consistent throughout all departments of the hotel, the people were somewhat faultless, always upbeat. It's important to us we mention names of those who stood out and really made an impression and went that extra mile, please see below: Buffet Restaurant F & B Riana Kenylnn Shelly Destiny The above 4 were particularly lovely to myself and family, they were patient, always helpful, always happy and made every trip to the restaurant enjoyable and that can be somewhat difficult sometimes with a naughty 3 year old! So thank you to them, they were great! The Poolside staff We were served regularly by: Shaquille (chase), Kashka(Cash), Russel Rasheel (Entertainment & Recreational) The above 4 made our time as a family around the pool extra special, they were consistently friendly, helpful, always making sure we were ok, or if they could assist us in anyway, we really got to know them, you couldn't have a better team for entertainment & professionalism they were fun & upbeat every day, all day, they really did play a big part of what made our experience/stay at the Wyndham great! It wouldn't be right if we didn't mention Fred (the Rastafarian) on the beach, what a cool, special guy, we sometimes went to the beach just to see him and say hi, his a great asset to that beach and he really cares for it, its lovely/heartwarming to see. Despite mentioning the above people, it's important to note every other staff member we encountered were incredibly good to us, we had zero issues and it was refreshing and somewhat surprising as we have noticed a big change throughout the world in F&B/Customer service since COVID hit, of course we have had some great experiences since but nothing quite like we had with The Wyndham Barbados. We will absolutely be returning in the near future, we plan to return February 2026 however the prices are currently double to what we have just paid, so we will be keeping an eye out, nevertheless we love Barbados as a Country, the people, culture, way of life, the scenery we will be returning regardless and you will see us again even if it's for the day. We are not travelling home disappointed, infact, we didn't want to leave!

Not sure if they aren’t ready for the high season but the options for dining were pathetic. The one dining experience other than buffet is booked solid. Buffet is ok for dinner but the breakfast service is in need of some efficiency. No plates, long lines for omelettes, replenishment of food was poor and the staff while lovely weren’t overly attentive to taking any drinks orders. That being said the place is nice( some maintenance of buildings and gardens is lacking), site is great and the pools lovely. Could be so much better but we did enjoy our stay.

We enjoyed our time at Sam Lord’s. The staff are extremely friendly! There are beautiful views of ocean and early risers can catch the sunrise. The beach is gorgeous to walk but not safe for swimming due to the reef and strong waves. The Castle View restaurant was excellent - great food, drinks and outstanding service! Brandon does an amazing job managing the restaurant.

Our 5-day, 4-night stay was wonderful overall. The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful — spotless, well-maintained, and visually stunning. Cleanliness was never an issue, and the food was surprisingly quite good. That said, there are a few things to note. We visited in mid-October, which is apparently a slower time of year. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, this is perfect. However, for us, it felt a little too quiet, with very little entertainment happening around the resort. The staff were all lovely and kind, but service tended to be on the slower side. The beach directly attached to the resort isn’t swimmable due to rough waters, though there’s a complimentary shuttle to a gorgeous beach called Carlisle Bay, about 40 minutes away. There were three restaurants on site; however, the main buffet offered limited selection, especially for children. I wouldn’t recommend this resort for families with kids, as there isn’t much in terms of kid-friendly dining or activities. Overall, it was a beautiful and relaxing trip — perfect for couples or anyone looking for a calm, quiet escape.

To be honest it was with mixed feeling when I booked the hotel for my family due to the mixed reviews online but thankfully we had an amazing experience!! We stayed at the resort in April for 10 days, 9 nights in a beautiful room overlooking the ocean close to the kids pool. The resort was clean, and while we were there it was repainted. Even though it was coming to the end of the season, there were lots of activities for kids especially over the Easter weekend. The staff organized an Easter egg hunt, had lots of props for the kids and some fun for the adults. The food was great- every day. Big buffet changing every day and an amazing sushi selection! Service was good, friendly staff, quick service. They were especially attentive towards our 5 year old! We also tried the restaurant were you had to make a reservation and here is the only little thing I would critique. We ordered surf and turf and the steak came out totally overdone and the lobster was too chewy. They changed the steak immediately. All other food was great and their variations of all kinds of cheese cakes divine!! We made use of the free shuttle to Bridgetown and used their booking desk to do some other activities around the island. The whole vibe on the island and in the resort was so chill we really didn’t want to leave. I got a massage at the spa which was super relaxing and the separate pool and lounge area was serene. Overall we had an amazing time and would come back in a heartbeat!
