Snorkeling. Busy dive site, but it is surprisingly good snorkeling, particularly moving north. If you work at it, you can even find a sandy entry, although you will cross iron shore to get there. No sand beach to speak of--if you want to sit and watch ocean, best to bring a chair. Bottom very sandy in areas so potential mixed photo quality. Open ocean, so surge. Decent variety of fish for snorkelers, and Reef Renewal has been outplanting staghorn coral here. has a non paved parking area that might be a little rough going for a car, but there is space off the road to pull over.

This site gives you two different options for reefs to dive at depending on how deep you want to go. My husband was having trouble equalize, so we stuck to the first one which wasn't as deep. We went to about 60 ft. We saw a couple eels (small ones) and enjoyed looking at all the diversity. This site had a clear entrance to the left to make it easier.

Not recommended for snorkeling - really nothing to see here (even further out). There are much better spots for that (1000 Steps, Tolo or Kapata)

Not a sand beach but beautiful. It has lots of rocks. If you want to swim hear, highly recommend you wear swim shoe.

I don't know why in particular, but to me this was one of the prettiest dive sites I've visited on the island. It's a fairly easy walk. It's about 800 ft south of the Hillma Hooker but there's much less fire coral to worry about here.
It's an easy dive, a beautiful dive, and a beautiful swim back to shore. This goes down as one of my favorites.
