We got robbed!!!
Drinks and food from a red trailer between 2 wall on the beach… we thought “is good to support local small business instead of big fancy places!!!” So we chose this place!
Finally this was Seriously The most expensive place we eat in the island and we have being in many restaurants ( this one had even no services!!) and we waited one hour and half to be served our food which was nice but very small portions…

Barefoot in the Bar was, without exaggeration, the worst dining experience of our entire trip. The food felt like complete robbery for the price. What we received was nothing special at all—mostly cold meat, a very small salad with no dressing, and some rice. For a plate that cost around $50 USD (not including a drink), the quality was shocking.
To make matters worse, the wait time was nearly an hour and a half, which is completely unacceptable given the simplicity of the food. The setting didn’t help either—it’s essentially a food truck wedged between two fences, offering little to no atmosphere. Definitely not the kind of environment you’d expect for the most expensive meal on the island.
When we raised concerns, the owner tried to gaslight us by insisting this was the “cheapest meal around,” which was simply not true and incredibly frustrating. Ironically, this one meal for my family cost almost as much as our entire week-long car rental.
Overall, this was our worst experience on the island and felt like nothing more than a tourist trap. I would never eat here again and would strongly advise others to spend their money elsewhere.
10/10 do not recommend.

Barefoot in the Bar was seriously the worst part of our time in Barbados. I personally disagree with the positive comments on this review page. We were sent here by an employee from a different restaurant, who we later found out was her friend who was sending the tourists her way. When we arrived, we made the mistake of not asking the price beforehand. We were sat by the beach which was nice, but the chairs and tables were uneven. We waited an hour and a half for our food and it was NOT good. The meat looked and tasted like it came from a can. The other food wasn’t anything great. The portions were also pretty small. She then charged us $50 US dollars per plate, claiming it was the Christmas platter price. She also told us that she was the cheapest in the area. I don’t believe that after going to other restaurants. I have never left a review until now, but I felt like I need to warn others so they don’t make the same mistake we did.

Nice spot on the beach. Other reviews talks about high prices of the menu. Lets not forget you’re gonna be barefoot in the bar. Location justified this little extra. The guy was literally installing a table and chairs in front of us and the waves for our last minute arrival. Between the mural and the pier. Great view! How about paying 20 for the greatest rum punch of the Island? ( because it was, according to my wife).

It was not a good experience. We waited over an hour and forty minutes for food and by the time it came out the pork was cold and it was not even that good. We did not know the price until we had to pay and we then found that it was fifty US dollars for plate and not even for drinks. All in all we had to spend a lot of money for a meal that was not so good and felt like a tourist trap. I do not recommend. There was also only three options. We had ham, pork, or fish so it is not good for people with dietary restrictions.
