The hotel is very good and has an excellent location. The best supermarket on the island is about a 10-minute walk away, with much better prices than other shops. We bought groceries and food there for most of our stay, which was very convenient. The beach is wonderful — quiet, not overcrowded, and very comfortable. Locals rarely bother you; sometimes they may politely offer something, but if you say no, they respect it without any issues. Often, if you don’t approach anyone yourself, no one bothers you at all. There are many cafés and restaurants nearby, a beautiful promenade for walking, and small souvenir shops. Overall, we really liked the area. The hotel is only about 15 minutes from the airport by car, which is very convenient. There are bus stops nearby if you want to travel to other areas, and taxis are always available. The hotel itself is nice. The staff are mostly kind and polite, and whenever you ask for something, they try to help and resolve any issues. The pool is small and, I believe, not heated, but it is clean. The hotel restaurant, however, was disappointing. Cleaning was not very thorough, the food selection was very limited, and the food itself was not very tasty. Breakfast was included, but as someone who prefers savory breakfasts, I found there was almost nothing for me to eat. Breakfast is mostly light and sweet: cereal, yogurt, tea, coffee, water, juice, toast, butter, jam, and not much else. If you want a more filling breakfast, you have to pay extra. Also, several times when we came for breakfast, some items were already finished, and we had to wait — sometimes even for a spoon, cup, or bowl 😑. The room was great — clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Housekeeping did a good job. I would have liked more shampoo and toiletries, as we sometimes had to ask for refills, but the quality was good. There were occasional issues with towels — they didn’t always have enough clean ones in the morning, but after lunch they would bring fresh, warm towels. At the beginning of our stay, we had an issue with the water temperature — it was only lukewarm for a couple of days, but after we reported it, the problem was fixed. Overall, we had a very good experience and enjoyed our stay 👍

We spent a week at blue horizon over the Christmas holidays. We loved it there. The room was absolutely spotless and quiet. The location is excellent, across from Rockley Beach, a beautiful beach. Restaurants are nearby and a bigger grocery store about 10 min walk. The breakfast was simple with coffee, tea, at least 3 types of fruits, toast, jam, butter, cream cheese , yogourt. We have to remember this is a 3 star hotel so the expectations have to be accordingly. Staff was always helpful and big thanks for the cleaning staff. ( we were in room 208) I can hardly wait to get back. Thank you to everyone at Blue Horizon!!

I stayed at Hotel Blue Horizons in Barbados with my kids and had a great experience overall. The hotel is not luxurious, but it offers very good value for money. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself was well maintained. The location is excellent right across from the beach, with public transport passing nearby, plenty of food options close by, and not too far from activities. It felt very safe and family-friendly, which was important for traveling with kids. The hotel also has a small, well-maintained pool and on-site laundry facilities for guests, which were very convenient. The staff were especially wonderful. The front desk team Amari, Khalil, and Angela, were friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Their kindness really made a difference. Overall, a solid choice for families looking for a clean, well-located, and affordable place to stay in Barbados.

What started as a stressful experience turned into a beautiful memory. I was unexpectedly stranded in Barbados after JetBlue canceled all flights due to an aircraft recall. While I adore Barbados, the uncertainty and anxiety of missing work and not knowing when I could get home were overwhelming. I booked a room at Blue Horizon Hotel hoping for some peace—and I got so much more. The hotel is in a perfect location, steps from the beach, quiet and relaxing. But what truly changed everything for me was Dale, a staff member at the hotel. She immediately saw the worry on my face and kindly told me, “Everything will work itself out.” Her words and calm energy helped me breathe again. Dale’s kindness and genuine care helped turn my unexpected three extra days into a little slice of paradise. The hotel was clean, welcoming, and had everything I needed. But it was Dale’s warmth that made it special. Thank you, Dale. You were truly a blessing. And to anyone considering staying here—don’t hesitate. Blue Horizon Hotel, and especially Dale, made all the difference.

This is my second time staying here. Excellent price, but not fancy. It’s perfect for a basic stay. Clean and very safe with a decent pool, restaurant and all very wonderful staff. This is not a high-end, all-inclusive sort of resort. But it is perfect if you’re ok to walk across the street and then rent a beach chair for the day, with private food and beverage service there. Tons of amazing home-cooking spots, groceries, wines etc are all within a 5 minute walk. For those who can handle basic exercise, Bridgetown is an easy one hour walk away… but this area is much better to stay and chill. I’d stay a third time for sure. A very easy, stress-free experience.
