DISGUSTING
their food is horrible absolutely no flavor!!!! My husband’s whole snapper was fried hard a brick and not flavor at all… I had the most nastiest oxtails I’ve ever had in my life and I’m obsessed with oxtails but theirs taste like it was cooked in tomato sauce just plain sauce with no seasoning. Their rice and peas was just plain disgusting no flavor and taste like it was also cooked in tomato sauce… the next day we went to The Palms right across the street from Palapa, and they had the best oxtails on the islands and they piled you up I had at lease 10 oxtails full of flavor and Bye Jean only give 3 or 4 can’t really remember

Me and my friends had lunch here because the BBQ smelled very good while passing by. We entered and were welcomed by a very nice lady. We ordered a bucket of beer and some food. The jerk chicken, oxtail and rice and peas were very delicious. Sadly the pasta we got on the side went bad so we couldn't eat it. Overall we had a great experience and would visit again for the jerk chicken and oxtail.

Jerk chicken was good and the oxtails! I didn’t favor the curry but we ate it. Drinks were good I’d return again and I highly recommend. Service was top tier I had five kids in my party and a lot of requests the bartender had a lot of patience making so many virgin daiquiris and he entertained one of my kids for over 15 minutes with conversation! This is a kid friendly place for sure! They are also know for being the best on the boardwalk.

My wife & I shared the jerk chicken. The man on the grill walked over just as we were being served and told us we had to try it with his sauce, "it makes it more better" 🤣 he wasn't lyin. The flavor was awesome! The chicken was done to perfection. Zero complaints. We loved it. I am used to jerks with more heat/spice so I was expecting something a little different, but what we got was so good it didn't matter. The rice was excellent, the potato salad was even great, being from the Midwest where that shit is a staple of every summer gathering even I was taking notes. The people were friendly, the beach vibes & music was great. I might fly back to Saint Maartan just for this chicken.

The service was top quality. The drinks great. And the food excellent. The best ox tail I have had. The meat just fell off the bone. My wife had the jerk chicken. Fresh chicken put on the grilled and made to perfection. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for an authentic Caribbean meal.
