We booked this place in Dec for a stay in January. After booking we read the reviews and started getting worried about making a mistake. We arrived a little early for check in and nobody was there. When we came back at 330 there was a sign explaining the hours of operation. We were greeted by the office manager and the bar tender. After checking in we found the rooms were nice and very clean. The office lady and the bartender were super awesome. They offered to cook our daily catch for dinner. The cook did an amazing job on the fish..we had drinks in the bar an amazing dinner and great company. We ended up staying the full 10 days we had plans to only stay 3 days here. honestly it was the best time. We had 3 different bar tenders and 2 different cooks. They were all just so kind and accommodating to our needs. Offered us a cooler to keep our fish gave up some secret fishing holes and gave us some must see places to visit. All and all this was without a doubt one of the best places we could have stayed. I will definitely be back to visit and stay again. Thanks again Calypso Hills.. Jack W.

Booked through Hotels.com and when I arrived at hotel there were zero cars in parking lot. Finally had someone come out of an old camper at front of property to get me checked in. I dropped bags without really inspecting property around 3. Came back around 7 to a lizard sitting on top of AC unit inside of room, walked into bathroom to take a shower to find roaches in the shower and no hot water. Still no cars other than mine and not a soul on site to speak with about issues. Ended up having to leave and go find other accommodations that night. Asked for a refund and hotel is citing their no refund policy and refusing. This place isn’t fit to stay at currently.

Always enjoy eating here. Food is very good. View is spectacular! Unfortunately, i noticed on my last visit they started adding a 18% gratuity to your bill. I am a great tipper and i base my tip on the service i receive. I don't agree with adding in the tip for a party of only 2 especially when the server doesn't deserve the 18%. This is what i experienced my last visit. I will not patronize if i get the same server i had on my last visit.

Food was delicious. I took my husband there for his birthday and he really enjoyed his well done stake😋 the customer service was great. Our Waiter was polite and even offered to take pictures of us. The place is neat, spacious and welcoming. It is next to the beach.

My recent stay was marred by a series of disappointments and unresolved issues that left me frustrated and dissatisfied. Upon discovering the lack of running water and hot water on the property, I made multiple attempts to reach out to the establishment for assistance, starting early in the morning. Despite calling throughout the day, I was unable to connect with anyone for a resolution.
Upon returning to the property later in the day, I was shocked to find that the establishment was closed, leaving me without any means to address the ongoing problems. This lack of availability and communication meant that the issues with the amenities, including the absence of an iron and the half-full pool, remained unresolved.
The combination of inadequate amenities, unresponsive communication, and the closure of the establishment culminated in a disappointing experience that fell far short of my expectations for an enjoyable stay. I left the property feeling let down I hope that the host takes steps to improving both the property's amenities and their responsiveness to ensure a more positive experience for future guests.
