Bottom line: It’s hard to recommend this hotel. I can see the potential, but it seems it’s declined since it opened. Friendly staff. Weird experience.
The rest: this hotel is located on the opposite side of the island from the main town. It’s situated right along the coast, though you won’t be able to access the beach… if there is any beach.
The folks working at the hotel are friendly, when you can find them. There’s a building that says reception, but it’s empty, which is fine because the receptionist leaves at four anyway. She did wait for my late 4:15 arrival, which I very much appreciated. When I checked out, I couldn’t find anyone to give the keys to, so I left them in the room.
There apparently used to be a restaurant, but as far as I can tell it is now closed. I may have been the only guest on the property the night I was there. I went out for dinner and came back around 9 pm to find the gate to the property closed, so I had to open it myself before parking.
The rooms are spotless and are efficiently sized but are not comfortable and are pretty sterile. There is no fridge, no safe, no coffee machine, no ironing board, no iron, no microwave. There are, however, two mugs though I don’t know what you’d do with them. There is a tiny television, but I don’t know what you’d do with it except log in to the streaming sites. The bed I found to be very uncomfortable and in lieu of a fitted sheet had just a flat sheet draped over the mattress pad with a very thin microfiber blanket on top. There are no extra blankets. There is no one to call if you need something. The door is translucent which is fine until the sun rises and the light comes streaming in. There is a plastic-feeling couch that is pretty uncomfortable.
The grounds are nicely decorated. It seems a lot of thought went into the construction of the property. I got the feeling this is a family’s dream business, but it just doesn’t come together very well.
If you need to stay for a night, it will get the job done. I would not want to spend more than a night at this property in the state it’s in at the moment. Lots of potential, though.

EXCELLENT service. Owner went above and beyond to make accommodations for us. Room was nice, clean. Location may be a problem for someone who doesn’t have a car.
Quiet, peaceful
Great view of ocean, but not “walkable” to the ocean…. You would have to walk over cliffs and rocks.

As a food enthusiast who also loves a good deal, I was impressed by the culinary experience of Calypso Nevis. The restaurant offers an array of stunning dishes at prices that will allow you to indulge without the guilt. Rash meal was a delightful adventure in taste. Combined with the affordable yet thrilling excursions arranged by the hotel, my trip was both enriching and budget-friendly.
