Ok so I love the supermarket brand. We’ve visited it in many countries. Food has outstanding quality. Everything is super fresh and delicious. But… on my last 2 visits to this supermarket when we purchased $300 worth of food, a cashier just pushed through our purchases and left us bagging our own stuff while 3 baggers were watching us do it. If you are a luxury brand, you should act like one. I expect if I spent $300+ for someone to help me bag it. Moreover if you do ask for help they expect tip! That’s ridiculous! Second, on my very last trip I was going down the aisle and bumped into very sharp hooks that were right in the middle of the isle. They punctured my skin (see photos) in 2 places and left me seriously bruised. I was rushing and looking at my small child and I did not noticed hooks until I literally ran into them. You can’t place sharp hooks in the middle of the isle, that’s a safety violation. What if this was my child running into them. You are an international brand. I can easily sue you for damages have this been a bit more savvier accident. You have to take safety into mind when placing things into the isles. Safety over profits!

I recently visited Carrefour located at Sambill Mall in Curaçao, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.
First of all, the prices are extremely high — especially for tourists. The produce is overpriced and, to make things worse, not very fresh. If you’re planning to shop right after the weekend, I strongly advise against it. The shelves are often empty, and the store feels disorganized and poorly restocked.
If you’re stopping by to grab fresh bread or something quick for lunch, don’t expect many options. The selection is very limited, and many basic items are simply unavailable.
There is also a cafeteria inside, but the service is very slow. The hamburgers and soups are overpriced and not worth the wait.
Overall, I would not recommend this supermarket. If you’re looking for better grocery shopping options with fresher products and more reasonable prices, I suggest trying Centrum Market instead. You’ll likely have a much better experience there.

Favorite grocery store inside this mall area. There is a wonderful kids play place inside if you have small children. Complete with slides and trampolines. There is every kind of store imaginable and the care flower grocery store is reasonably priced and very clean and organized very easy to find items. plenty of parking, unlike centrum, which was always mobbed and overcrowded, and the lines at checkout were way too long there. The lines here were quick and efficient in the store is much cleaner and organized, and the aisles are wide wider for pushing carts up and down.

After visiting Mangoesa Hypermarket and not really finding it to our taste, we decided to try Carrefour. Whenever we’re abroad, Carrefour is usually our go-to, as they tend to have everything we need and this location did not disappoint.
Even though it’s officially classified as a supermarket (not a hypermarket), the selection is overall very good. We found fresh vegetables and quality meat, but the fresh fish assortment was smaller than we had hoped for. It can’t be compared to the wide, dedicated seafood sections you often find in hypermarkets which I was expecting here, especially on an island known for its fresh seafood. Still, the overall variety was enough to cover all our needs in one stop.
If you’re a fan of rotisserie chicken, you should definitely try theirs tasty, well-prepared, and fairly priced.
The staff are also friendly and helpful, and a special mention goes to the security guard at the entrance, who is always smiling and warmly welcoming everyone. It’s a small touch, but it really makes a difference to the shopping experience.
Overall, a great place to shop for both everyday essentials and fresh products definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Carrefour quickly became our go-to supermarket during our stay on the island. Compared to another nearby grocery store, the prices were very similar, but Carrefour offered a much larger selection and a more spacious, well-organized layout.
We were able to find almost everything we needed, from fresh produce and groceries to everyday essentials, making shopping easy and convenient throughout our trip.
The store was clean, well-stocked, and easy to navigate, and the checkout process was smooth even during busier times. If you’re staying in Curaçao and need a reliable supermarket with a wide variety of products at reasonable prices, Carrefour is an excellent choice.
