This is a sanctuary for the people of Puerto Rico. Education, culture, and forward thinking people trying to solve problems in their local communities. I love this place. Please support their mission in anyway that you can.
This year we will be hosting the 2022 financial literacy film festival here.

I have been to the Casa de Cultura Ruth Fernandez several times because of their quality programming. It is easy to park around the Rio Piedras plaza! If you are visiting, don't miss the cultural events for people of all ages, including LGBTQI folk. Check their calendar and you'll find classes, poetry jams, exhibits and meetings and performances. I took my cousins from Boston to the Casa de Cultura for a Dia de Reyes party and they were enchanted with the joyous and welcoming feeling of the place. They took countless photos of the beautiful restoration and the art on its walls.

I been here before. Next to it has a very local best ice cream. The Casa de Cultura was close at the time. But seems is not my first time visiting.
The place Casa de Cultura Ruth Fernandez is one of the kind. If you are planning to visit there, make sure that you have the correct time of the event, if any. Parking is space that is not easy to find.
