This cooking class was definitely the highlight of my mom and I’s Aruba experience.
Chef Kari was amazing, knowledgeable, and the dishes we created together were absolutely divine! They were so delicious, I closed my eyes and was doing the happy food dance with every bite.
We made Jerk Chicken, Curry Shrimp, Coconut Rice, and salt fish with sautéed vegetables and enjoyed a deliciously refreshing creamy citrus drink. Honestly the best tasting dishes we experienced our entire stay at Aruba.
Highly highly recommend taking this cooking class with Chef Kari, absolutely LOVED IT you won't regret it! A+!

We felt right at home with Kari. The conversation flowed smoothly. We were able to learn great cooking techniques and use of seasonings, spices and local veggies. Our two boys, 9 and 10, were able to participate and contribute. Kari made sure to give them jobs so they felt included. They also made a friend with her son while there! Left like family.

We enjoyed a fabulous experience hosted by Kari Heron. Kari is a gracious hostess with remarkable cooking skills and joyfully shares the varied cultures she has experienced, as both a journalist and chef.
We not only enjoyed a great meal, but we learned how to prepare one as well!
The intense rainstorm going on outside the coziness of her home was a welcome retreat on many levels.
Her culinary knowledge grounded in a multitude of cultures and a focus on health is fabulous and we are so happy to have connected with her.
She went above and beyond finding a romantic song to play for us at the end of our meal to add one more fabulous moment to our celebration of our anniversary. Our day in her kitchen was the high point of our stay in Aruba.

My husband and I attended the class held by Chef Kari while in Aruba celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and we enjoyed learning how to cook various Caribbean dishes. Chef Kari made the class fun and interactive allowing us to each to take a part of the preparation of the dishes. We all sat together and enjoyed the delicious food and fellowship at the table at the end. Highly recommend her class.

We had the most incredible evening with Kari — truly something special. From the moment we arrived, she created such a warm, welcoming, and relaxed atmosphere. It felt intimate, almost like being invited into a friend’s home, filled with care and positive energy.
The Caribbean cooking workshop was not only fun, but also beautifully put together. Every dish we made was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and love. Kari has a wonderful way of guiding you through the experience while making it feel effortless and enjoyable.
This wasn’t just a cooking class — it was a memorable experience that we’ll carry with us for a long time. One of those evenings you wish you could relive.
