I'm really against denying a free entrance to waterfalls. To avoid paying, I went at 5am, before the tours started going out and found my way to the best one. Lost in the jungle, I bumped into a local who was great help and on my way out crossed a bunch of foreigners guided by some locals. Wouldn't pay for the tour, would go back and do a similar procedure. Now Imma just yap a bit to get to the minimum words for a levelup... I deserve to visit the water spots I want and when I want to. I get that not everyone will treat them as I do and it's a risk we pass on nature. It's sad what human kind has become. This is a beautiful place, one of the prettiest I've been to, but it's very built - at. I don't enjoy to see latters, gazebos, and all kinds of constructions right at the water spots. Or do I? At the same time I do appreciate that these buildings are for us to enjoy tranquil the nature. Have fun and comment your thoughts!

Damajagua Falls is an absolute blast and a highlight of any trip to Puerto Plata, offering the perfect combination of hiking, natural rock slides, and cliff diving into crystal-clear water. The adventure begins with a rather strenuous 40-minute uphill climb through the jungle, so you definitely need good fitness and sturdy water shoes, as the terrain is slippery and rocky. All the guides are professional and prioritize safety, providing helmets and life jackets, and always offering a detour if you're not comfortable with the higher drops. They also offer photo and video opportunities. I highly recommend this experience.

I don't typically do reviews but I had the absolute best time! My guide was Divandy for the hike and waterfalls. Jose and Kendel for the zip lines. They did an amazing job at making me feel safe but also I had a best time, lots of laughs and most importantly great vibes. The place itself was amazing and beautiful. 🖤 If you are going here, I would also recommend the food... It was great!

This place was awesome. My kids had an excellent time here. The staff is very professional and makes sure you're safe the entire time. The water is a little chilly but it's a very exciting activity. Now they added Zip Lining which is a plus. Because of nature, all 27 waterfalls are not available anymore, but they offer the amount they feel is safe to do which is understandable. I truly recommend it.

Booked the VIP waterfall trip through a cruise line. Included lockers, water shoes, lunch, and the ability to bring our own camera. They picked us up from the cruise port, the drive was about 30 minutes. When we arrived, we were all given locker keys, life jackets, and helmets. After we put everything away, they zip-tied our keys to our life jackets for us. We were separated into groups of about 12 and headed up the trail. As we entered the trail, we passed a trail rules sign that said you could not play music. I guess that did not apply to the photographer with our group, I believe his name was Nigel. He was playing obnoxious music on his phone the whole way up the mountain, only pausing it when he made videos of everyone walking by. We arrived at the top of the mountain and saw just how many people were ahead of us down in the water already. I would imagine over a thousand people go through here a day. The line moved steadily, and we didn’t have to wait long for our group's turn. A couple of sketchy ladders to climb down, but from the nearby debris, it appeared some of it had been replaced recently. The water was cold, but we quickly got used to it. We had a great time sliding down the rocks and walking through the river. The cliff jump was great, but the guides were sort of rushing everyone to go. After a short hike back, they cut our keys off for us and collected life jackets. There was a changing area, but no hooks on the wall or anywhere but the floor to put your stuff. It was also right next to the door, so anytime it opened, everyone outside could see you. I opted to change in a bathroom stall instead, so I could at least drape my towel and change of clothes on the door to keep them somewhat clean. Lunch had lots of options, I bit into my burger and found it was still mostly raw on the inside. After lunch, I tried to find a magnet with the name of the place on it, but they did not sell any. We also looked into buying the photos. I believe he said it was $45, but it was just a USB drive with all of the photos dumped on it. Nothing edited, and not just our photos. I don’t think anyone in our group bought them. The bus had us back at port just after 2 pm, which was our scheduled return time, so we had time to shop in port when we returned. If it weren’t for the photographer playing music and the raw burger, this would have been a 5-star review.
