Don't miss an opportunity to visit this shop. It literally has everything you could possibly need... from repairs to transport options you can't go wrong. They have every option from major brands. This is some of the best equipment and most well known shapers in the industry. Russell is a super nice guy and really knows what you are looking for from long board to short. Jasmine is amazing and helpful if you are looking for something in particular she know where it is... Screws, leashes, bags, hats, boards, soft racks, super nice rentals, repairs, fins, wax... Ect. This is a real surf shop owned by a real true surfer. If you are looking for surf school this place has some of the best surfers on the island teaching you the way of the "stoke". I am super impressed. Five stars all the way!!!

Our boys had a wonderful time with instructor Nick. They were out there for 2 hours straight and definitely tired them out at the end. Jasmine is very welcoming and hope to come back next year.

With so many surf schools on the island, it can be difficult to choose one, but I knew I had made the right decision before I even stepped through Dread or Dead's doors. I was greeted with waves of excitement and some of the friendliest smiles I have ever encountered. From the very beginning, I felt like I was being welcomed home. Our instructor, Tai, was fantastic. Not only was he incredibly friendly, but he was also an excellent teacher. He took the time to find a spot where we'd feel comfortable based on our confidence in the water and the fact that we'd never surfed before. Having Tai as an instructor felt less like taking a lesson and more like spending time in the water with a longtime friend. We shared stories and laughed together as though we'd known each other for years. On the drive back to the shop, he pointed out some of his favorite places to eat, so now I know exactly where to find some of the best roti and doubles in Barbados. Dread or Dead is a wonderful family-owned business, and you can feel that warmth the moment you walk through the door. Even if you're not a surfer, you're sure to find something you'll enjoy, whether that's a cool hoodie, a hat, or simply a friendly conversation. Needless to say, I've definitely caught the surfing bug, and I'm already looking forward to my next lesson.

During my seven week stay I decided to take a few surf lessons with Dread or Dead and let me tell you, they didn’t disappoint. I’ve taken surf lessons in Sri Lanka and Portugal before, but nothing so far has compared to my experience with Dread or Dead. Before my first lesson, I was happy if I could do a simple pop up. By my last lesson, I was turning right and left. It’s a family owned Surf Shop and Surf School, and during my few times visiting I had the pleasure of meeting some of them. They are some of the kindest and most welcoming people you’ll meet, and when in need for a recommendation, they always know the best spots around! Special thanks to Surf Instructor Tai, for pushing me and helping me get to the point where I could actually catch my own waves :) If you’re thinking about taking surf lessons in Barbados, whether it’s your first time or you have surfed before, this is the best place to be!

What a place!!! The owner of the shop was super nice and kind. Great choice and quality, not only clothes . I did not know about the surf school lesson, but next time for sure. Thank you very much for making my day nice and kind. Simply enjoy my new clothes, and definitely recommend visiting.
