Lovely day at the races, not too busy, plenty of seating and the food was pretty good too, although a bit of a long wait, but freshly cooked. The course looks a bit rough, but everything was very professionally run, and some great racing, closely run. If in Barbados it is definitely worth a visit.

Managed with kind help from the Garrison team to attend a spectacular raceday! Viewed from the comfort of an air conditioned lounge however the covered grandstand also looked fantastic fun and full of raucous supporters. Amazingly we won BIG on the second race 😀 and ended the day cost neutral, take that any day!!

Lots of variety from expensive viewing stand at finish line, to public crowded stand, to open field free for viewing. The most fun is to be with residents in non ticketed area but you miss the finish line. Having tried all three over the years my choice is the free open area where betting sheds are accessible and results are broadcast, but if you want alcohol and fancy sandwiches served buy the ticket to seated stand.

Nice race course. 25BD for the Grand Stand. Bar staff a bit creative with the pricing and rum punch glass sizes. Towards the end the toilets were somewhat due a clean and toilet roll replenish. Staff were friendly, the racing was good.

Hmmm, there's so much one could say about here from history, site seein, relaxation, sports arrrggghhh the garrison has it all.. You have the museum one side, St Anns Fort on the other, George Washington house as well, the clock tower ( Home of the Barbados Legion), horse racin, rugby, benches to endure that fresh breeze, the cannons ( jus a small portion from the 400+ that kept Barbados from bein invaded) and lots more....
