It's a mixed bag. The rooms are a throw back from the 1980s but they are functional. AC is decent showers are very dated but they do the important thing - large with strong hot water. Beds were rock hard, and curtains were 50/50. The staff was nice and efficient but I spent ten majority of my time on their sister property. The beach is amazing. IMO significantly better than the famous one 1 mile away. There are several other restaurants and beach bars which make up for the mixed bag. All in all it's OK for a price less than $100 per night, but I would reduce a star if it was over $100

Good food (the Plywood has the best fish tacos I've ever had, and im from NY). EXCELLENT BEACH. Pleasant front desk (Kathleen and Alister). The room and the proper in general needs some renovations, but it was SPOTLESS. The one and ONLY downside to our stay was that i left the keys inside the room and when we were given access to the room returning from the beach, there were US$100 from my bag. I am not confrontational person and it was a non-refundable stay and we had no plan B in mind. I reported it to the dront desk immediately and let them handle it as professional as possible. I also didnt what low-life decision reflect poorly on the rest of the staff. Everything else..goodies!

Very nice, clean hotel/resort right on Morne Rouge Bay beach. My apartment #12 had a full kitchen, living room, nice bedroom, and bathroom. The kitchen has a very good working refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, and all needed plates, glasses, forks, knives, spoons, etc. The bathroom with nice shower with a well-working shower head (I had a lot of problems with shower heads at many different resorts). Overall very functional apartment. One minus, not a big one, is that A/C is only in the bedroom. Had a very nice vacation It was the end of May meaning off-season. Nice clean beach and restaurant by. Didn't use it much. There is also a FANTAZIA restaurant with a disco, but I did not use it either. All staff people are professional and helpful. The apartment was cleaned daily. Thanks for making my vacation easy and memorable.

They leave the door open and you find mosquitos in the room. Good breakfast. Great beach that makes the place worth tour stay. The design is a bit old, seems from the 70s

We had a great experience at Gem Resort in January 2024. The staff were very helpful and efficient. The rooms are a bit dated but very clean and great value for a whole apartment with balcony and sea views (over rooftops). There is a restaurant / beach bar on site, has a limited menu but good quality food. There is another independent one next door. The hotel is right on Morne Rouge beach which is great for swimming (one of the best swimming beaches we found). Supermarket is 20-25 min walk, centre of St Georges is a bit further and probably a taxi ride away. We would stay again.
