Visited this eatablishment to purchase some items . I was dressed in a grey business suit and a white top my jacket was in my hand and i had a knapsack which of course i knew i had to leave at the baggage counter. At the entrance was a bag lady and i gave her my bag to place in the cubicle. There were several empty. I realized she was taking long to decide which one to place it so i pointed out it can be placed in anyone. She then looked at me and said "no i cant place it are you buying anything " i was appalled i totally lost it. I asked her why would i come in here. Her response she thought i was a tour rep . And proceeded to interrogate me. Now general foods. First impression last and that experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. This was my first time stopping to shop and i would never shop there again.

I was pleasantly surprised by the items available here. The juices were very fresh and you could find everything you would find at a Carribean grocery store in N. America. If visiting as a tourist and looking for quality groceries. General Food Supermarket is a fantastic place to shop.

Whenever I come to Jamaica, I rent an Airbnb and shop here. It's been 5 years and I love this place. Amazing customer service and a nice variety of items. Definitely recommend that you shop here

I like the supermarket. There are many options and for Americans there are familiar products. The price conversion does seem to kinda me what they want. So I would recommend getting the local currency to not get ripped off. Even if you show what the conversion should be they make up their own.
