The Gite unfortunately did not meet our expectations. While the location was nice the overall cleanliness left a lot to be desired.
Several areas were neglected, the kitchen and bathroom all required proper cleaning. The mugs were stained, we had to wash them as well as our breakfast dishes and cutlery. The plastic table on our beautiful patio had no tablecloth and it was not clean, so we had to use our pareo as a tablecloth.
It needs more thorough cleaning before being rented out.
The air conditioning was not working properly and we could not sleep with the windows open as there were no mosquito nets on the windows. On top of that there was an extremely bright light coming though our window which I covered with a towel after our first night. With better upkeep and attention to detail, the property could offer a much more pleasant stay.
Swimming pool was clean but the furniture was old and unkept.
I know that I am rather crude with this review but I am also an owner of apartments for holiday rentals and know what upkeep means.

What a pleasure to visit this lush and beautiful garden filled accomodation. The interior was small for four people (Coco bungalow) and with basic and tight kitchen but the exterior felt private and the pool a delight. Excellent location near the pointe for swimming, hiking and snorkeling. The real gems are the hosts who were wonderfully kind, accommodating, helpful and generous with their time and recommendations. Thank you!

Perfect spot to start your holidays. We would like to thank the owners for their hospitality. We arrived very late due to a delay of our flight, but they made us feel very welcome. Really appreciated the bread that was put in the fridge so we could start our holidays with a nice breakfast.

Hello, we thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at Gîte Papaye.
We received a very warm welcome from the owners, Marie and Mathieu, who were very attentive and caring.
The gîte is simple, functional, clean, and above all, peaceful.
Thank you to Marie for her suggestions of restaurants, beaches, etc.
I would just like to suggest replacing some of the kitchen utensils, which seem to have seen better days.
This doesn't detract from our overall rating.

Ideal for a peaceful holiday. The cottage is easily accessible, set in a beautiful garden with mature trees. The facilities are functional and clean. And the swimming pool offers a welcome respite from the heat, even though there are many beaches nearby. Numerous restaurants allowed us to sample the delicious local cuisine. Marie and Mathieu were incredibly attentive and met all our expectations. I highly recommend it. You can book with complete confidence :-)
