Its architecture dates from around the 1960s or 70s. Perhaps it's become too small for the island's growing tourism, events, conventions, etc. I felt a bit cramped in the shops, and I was particularly impressed by the mini-market, bakery, and bar. The souvenir area should be larger. In any case, I'd never seen those machines with monitors that check your passport without having to wait in line or be assisted by staff. Excellent!

A nice airport for your arrival and departure point to Barbados. Since it is in a warm climate checking is in an open air area with awnings above it. There is a lounge with basic service and you no bartender though you can make some mixed drinks yourself. Easy to navigate a food court is available.

Grantley Adams International Airport offers a very smooth and pleasant travel experience. The check-in process is conveniently located outside near the curb, which helps keep things moving quickly. Inside, both security and customs services are well-organized and incredibly easy to navigate. The staff throughout the airport are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The terminal features surprisingly good food selections, though you can expect typical airport prices. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained, which is always a major plus. Additionally, having on-site rental car services and taxi stands right at the exit makes ground transportation entirely seamless. A great gateway to Barbados!
