Grenada’s cruise port in St. George’s is a vibrant gateway that feels like stepping onto a living postcard.
The harbor is nestled between emerald hills and turquoise water, giving every arriving ship an instant sense of tropical charm.
From the moment you disembark, the scent of nutmeg and fresh sea breeze greets you, setting a relaxed yet exciting tone for the day.
The terminal itself is modern and efficient, with friendly staff who are quick to point you toward the best local spots.
Just a short walk from the dock, the colorful market on Melville Street offers handmade crafts, spices, and island treats that make perfect souvenirs.
If you prefer beach time, a quick water‑taxi ride takes you to Grand Anse, a two‑mile stretch of soft white sand that feels worlds away from the ship.
The water at Grand Anse is crystal‑clear, perfect for snorkeling among vibrant coral reefs and playful fish.
For a quieter escape, Morne Rouge Beach is only a few minutes away and provides a more secluded setting with equally stunning views.
History lovers will appreciate the nearby Fort George, which offers panoramic harbor vistas and a glimpse into the island’s colonial past.
A short drive inland brings you to the spectacular Annandale Falls, where you can swim beneath cascading water and enjoy a picnic in lush surroundings.
The island’s famous spice plantations welcome visitors for tours that showcase nutmeg, cinnamon, and cocoa processing, complete with tasty samples.
If you’re feeling adventurous, the underwater sculpture park offers a unique snorkeling experience that blends art with marine life.
Practical tips: U.S. dollars are widely accepted, but having some Eastern Caribbean dollars helps at local stalls, and water taxis are a convenient way to reach the beaches.
Overall, Grenada’s cruise port delivers a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and warm hospitality that makes every shore excursion unforgettable.

While visiting on an NCL cruise we were thrilled to find Garry and his replica Model T Ford offering tours of St. George's. The price of US$15 is a bargain for this thoroughly enjoyable trip. Garry is a wonderful entrepeneur who understand customer service and will do very well. Please give him your business. Book inside the cruise terminal !
