Flat stomach, bulging belly – and that whole sports fasting adventure “Why do I always have such a flat, bulging stomach? And why am I not losing weight, even though I work out five times a week?” I asked Tamara, my EMS trainer, the other day. And seriously, I ask that question with the sigh of someone who has been waging war for years against chocolate, chips, and that one cookie with tea – every night. (Okay, maybe two cookies. Small ones.) Tamara looked at me with her ‘I’ve thought about it’ face. Always dangerous. “Maybe you should try sports fasting.” Sports fasting. The word alone sounds like a military operation with fruit, vegetables, and water instead of a gun. Looking at it, exercising isn't the problem; I cycle 3 times a week now and do EMS twice, but... “Pff Tamara, seriously? Eating little *and* exercising? I can't do that, I love chocolate. And not just a civilized square, but simply... chocolate with ambition.” “Oh no, it’ll be fine,” said Tamara. “We’ll do an online HypNo Sugar program alongside it.” HypNo Sugar. Sounds like a cross between a magic trick and a diet that makes you dream about Tony’s Chocolonely. Anyway, I was so done with it that I almost wrote a suicide note to that bulging belly. So I said: “Okay, we’ll do it. When do we start?” Friday.” It was Wednesday. Help. Days 1-3: The tapering days Grocery shopping done by the book (and believe me, that book talks about broccoli as if it were a treat). My husband bravely joined in. I got on the bike, kept my heart rate nicely at 125-130 bpm, and even did the hypnosis session. Seriously, I have never felt so focused on my inner world. And yes, that sugar monster? It’s now permanently in my head with a megaphone: “CHOCOLATE?!” Days 4-6: The fasting days I thought: this is going to be a nightmare. But… miracle of miracles… it went well. I felt energetic. Exercising even gave me an adrenaline rush. And that, even though I normally get hungry just from a peanut butter commercial. Tamara even said: “You look cheerful.” Well, I was cheerful *even* without chocolate. So yes, that is suspicious. And that belly? Less round. Tighter. No longer that feeling like I had swallowed an air mattress. Days 7-10: I get to eat “something” again! Hallelujah, I was allowed to eat again. But let's be honest: those 30 minutes of cycling suddenly felt like a mountain stage in the Tour de France. Still, I felt good. And the best news? My stomach stayed supple. No longer tight and round, but just... relaxed. And I had lost 4 kilos. Bonus! The weeks after The real work actually only begins *after* the sports fasting. Because that is when the dinners, birthday cakes, and spontaneous "come on, let's order pizza" nights start. But because my body has been reset, so to speak, I now clearly notice what does and doesn't agree with me. Bread and pasta? Stomach protests. Vegetables and protein? Everything is zen. And best of all: my heart rate has dropped while cycling. I pedal longer now, with less effort. And no, I haven't become a saint – I do still have a treat. But in moderation. And always in consultation with the sugar monster. Conclusion? Sports fasting is not a magic diet. It is a kick in the butt with a carrot instead of a chunk of chocolate. But it works. And it gives you insight, energy, and a good feeling. In combination with HypNo Sugar, a lot changes in a short time. So yes, my gut and I are aligned again. Literally.

Thanks to Tamara and the hypnosis, I start sleeping much better. I have always had a sleep problem and thought it would never get better, but I am so happy. The hypnosis sessions helped me fall asleep and sleep through the night; it is so wonderful. I wake up rested and my day suddenly has more hours 👍👍 Thank you, and hypnosis really helps.

5 stars for EMS Bonaire! The training and personal guidance are simply TOP-NOTCH! If you don't have much time but still want to feel good and toned, this is the perfect solution. The personal involvement in my goals, in particular, really gives me the motivation to keep going. For an extra boost, the Sportfasting course combined with EMS is highly recommended!

Hello. I had a session at EMS Bonaire. Wow, that was it. Standing under tension for 20 minutes (well, sort of); you get little electric shocks via wires connected to the computer. Those wires are attached to a suit that you put on, and just like that. You are pleasantly tired. As if you’ve worked out for 2 hours. Wonderful. And excellent guidance from Tamara. A fun, spontaneous girl who knows what she’s doing. Keep up the good work. And I will definitely be back.
