Hendo's is a must visit when you're on JVD. We arrived early so we had our pick of seats before the boat crowd rolled in Lounge chairs were clean and came with a small table and umbrella. The service is great. You can order at the bar and they bring your food/drinks to you..if u want.. Loved the painkiller-one of the best I've tasted! Prices aren't too bad for a seaside restaurant. The chocolate cake is Ah-MAZING!! There's washroom facilities like a toilet but no bathroom/, shower. So keep that in mind. We used the toilet stalls to change our clothes before taking the safari bus back to the ferry but the bathroom stalls are small and it was a bit of a tight fit. The washrooms were very clean though! There's a nice lil photo spot by the gift shop! Definitely will be back!!

A breath of fresh air, radical amazing hospitality, and absolute peace and beauty. We have been to Jost Van Dyke a few times before but only for a few hours or a day. This time we came and stayed at Hendo's for 7 nights. We were greeted by the staff with a cold adult beverage - the Hendo's signature drink. We met the friendly, lovely Nadia who was really helpful. Then, Regie! Regie took exquisite care of us all week. A gem! Housekeeping had to be sleuths. Haha They very sneakily made it into our room every day without us knowing and kept our bed fresh and the room tidy. They replaced beach towels keeping them fresh for us daily. Then, the beach. Oh. My. Stunning. The restaurant and staff were all wonderful. We can't wait to come back again.

Service was excellent early in AM when we were the only folks there and ordered breakfast. Once it got a bit busier, service was absolutely non-existent. The waiter came to check on us zero time in the 3-hour window. And when you walk to the bar and order drinks and/or food, they don’t put it in. It’s a mess. After waiting for 35 mins for drinks, I went in and they were trying to figure who put or not put them in. Same thing happened with next drinks and with food. 18% tip was included automatically for our party of 2 so I think they just really don’t care because they get that tip anyway, no matter the service. At least at Soggy’s, there is a separate drink like: you stand in it, you pay, you get your drink right then. Soggy’s ordering system is much more efficient. We did compare Painkiller between two places. Soggy’s was a bit sweeter but more ice. But very comparable presentation and taste wise. I think Hendo’s area is nice but due to non-existent service, I would be careful getting a chair there. They don’t allow outside drinks or food of course, even if you rented a chair. Too bad, if they had a decent service, they would be better than Soggy’s. We had breakfast here, lunch, and drinks.

Great location right on the beach. Lots of covered seating to enjoy the views but be shaded. Large menu and cold drinks. Beach chairs and umbrellas available!

Spent the morning on the sun loungers. Nice location, food and drink beach service. Good coconut shrimp, also had the painkiller and the delirious donkey cocktails. Nice place to spend a few hours with the family. We brought our 10 month old and it was a great comfortable shady spot.
