This Holiday Inn is in need of a much needed update. At almost $600 a night I was expecting a much nicer hotel room and amenities. There is peeling paint along the hall baseboards on the second floor with black masking tape on the carpet every so often. The rooms are a nice size with wonderful views of the ocean. The air conditioning was fabulous and very cool. However there were no robes or slippers in the closet. I didn’t bring mine expecting those. There wasn’t even pad and pen in the room to leave notes to your housekeeper. The house keeping staff were wonderful and kind leaving us extra coffee and creamer as requested. The restaurant food was good but not great. Again the wait staff was very attentive and kind leaving us we ate in all of the restaurants. The steak house was very expensive and not worth the money but it was the best meal we ate of the week we stayed there. We used the tour desk to book a trip to Harrison’s Cave and Huntes Garden. The cave tour was spectacular having a team car go through it. The Gardens are beautiful and worth the stop. The old fort built beside the property is worth the time to view. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the beach was the entire reason we stayed here. The beaches are made of quartz sand and so they stay cool and are never hot on your feet. The pool was quite cold but felt good once you acclimated. The pool hot tub was broken the entire week and we never saw anyone working on it. The staff were all kind and welcoming. I would not give this a 4 star hotel because it is expensive and dated however the people and locations are 5 stars.

Location is excellent! Yes the resort is dated but our rooms are spacious and clean. They have 4 different dining options. The Italian dinner is by far superior to everyone else, but overall food is decent. Pool side service at the restaurant is the slowest I have ever experienced in all my travels but you just have to go with the flow. Our rooms was garden view but it actually looked out upon the ocean, which was a lovely surprise. You can’t beat the location.

Service was great. They have an awesome well equipped gym. There were no children I saw in my stay. There is entertainment by the pools in the evening that is spectacular. I was only there one night but I took advantage of the beach and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was good and you were greeted with Rum punch. It is a trek from the airport but only 10 minutes or so to port.

Firstly the positives. Fab location, wonderful view on bay side. If you are facing Hiltons own beach then be prepared for outside DJ noise at weekend until late.
Reception staff great, housekeeping staff very friendly and service on room keeping mosrlty positive. Bar service and food service around pool area very slow, even when it's quiet.
Breakfast is ok but could be better with regards to quality of food. Only filter coffee and tea included.
The general areas of hotel were very dirty though, mens toilet was disgusting on several occasions.
Quite a few Americans but the hotel can't help this.
Guests from other hotels were using the beach facilities with no effort from staff to prevent this. Also street vendors allowed on beach to pester you, which was very disappointing.
Good hotel but could do alot better in places.

Daily Resort Pass, we had purchased a Beach Cabana, and when we had shown up, the cabana was not available. When they tried to make it right, they offered up a food and beverage credit for half of what we paid for the cabana. we paid 220USD and our offer was 150BBD. so 1/4th of what we paid. i pressed them back on this and they made it a major deal, sighing and saying things like "fine if it will end this problem, fine". that was the manager julian and kenrick. working with them made me feel like i was asking them for one of their kidneys.
since the cabana was not available due to "unforeseen circumstances" aka being used for the new years eve party, i asked if we could at least use the cabana chairs since they were much nicer than the beach chairs, but those had already been given away. i will say that the most helpful person we spoke with today was one of the beach workers Akeel. he went above and beyond to find cushions and umbrellas for us. i felt like he was the only one that really cared that we were happy.
we had purchased our day pass which was from 10a-6p and we were asked to leave at 330p so they could set up for new years eve. we were not told of this at all when we got there. food took at least an hour to get and it took us over an hour just to get our chairs set up.
