Had a great one night stay before picking up our boat at The Moorings! Yvonne was lovely and we enjoyed the easy access to food at Moorings and grocery options at RiteWay. Pool was nice and the honor bar was welcomed (bring cash for any drinks consumed). Walk up from the road/Moorings is a bit steep with luggage but very doable. Highly recommend!

Hummingbird House is a wonderful stay for people leaving on Moorings trips! Yvonne is absolutely wonderful! The property, while not a hotel room at the Ritz, rooms are comfortable and arranged well, all around the pool. Riteway grocery store is a short walk away, and Moorings is walking distance, too, and the road down the hill is not steep, although dragging luggage along the road would be challenging.

The first review point, as many have noted, is the proprietor Yvonne. She is a lovely host, very responsive and accommodating. Hummingbird house has 4 rooms, 3 of which have 2 double or queen beds, the fourth has a king. We were 9 people and rented the entire space the night before our charter from the marina just below. Having the whole space was perfect, like a private rental with a touch of service. We paid a car to drive our bags from the marina and we walked. It's only 5 minutes walk from the marina, a slight uphill, a steeper driveway and one flight of stairs. Our group ranged in age from 35 to 75 and without our bags, came and went several times without burden. Star ratings are relative to the type of accommodation this BnB is. Its not a traditional hotel or anything fancy. But for the age and salty seaside location, it's still very clean and thoughtfully appointed. There are mini split A/C units in each room, small toiletries and bath and pool towels. For anyone wanting a buffer day on the front or back end of their boat charter, we highly recommend this as an affordable option.

Yvonne and her place are excellent. She's kind and pragmatic and makes you breakfast every morning. The rooms are large with private bathrooms and showers. There are always a few cats wandering around. I found the honor system beverages quite nice, and she always has ice available. It's a short walk from the grocery store, and also the moorings and yacht charter. One can walk here from the fast ferry but it's a haul with luggage.

Lovely place, hidden away from the busy marina, but easily walkable to and fro. I never would have found this place if it weren't for a charter company referring me to it for a night's stay. I work as a captain and was in need of a place to stay for one night between gigs that was affordable. $140/night here. You get a king size bed and your own bathroom. Room has a tv, AC, fridge, and ceiling fan and lots of windows. There's a $10 surcharge for using AC for the night. If you use it any time outside this then you'll pay extra. In all honesty with all the wind coming through the windows, the ceiling fan above the bed and the fan mounted on the wall pointing right at you in bed, there's no need for AC in my opinion. I slept peacefully and blissfully. Wifi is available here as well and coffee/tea/water at the lobby area for all. A modest little swimming pool with a rubber duckie donning sunglasses is just outside the lobby and balcony. Chairs everywhere for you to lounge and enjoy the fresh air. I'd certainly come back to this place for a night's stay again. Yvonne, the owner, is a lovely woman and very accommodating and pleasant. A word about directions getting here: Google maps doesn't show the road getting here. There is a traffic light right at the marina and a road at that intersection that crosses the main highway. Coming from Road Town, you'd turn left on that road, and pass the sports complex on your right and the Hummingbird House is on the left after it. You'll see the driveway and a diamond sign that says Hummingbird house on it. The property is going up for sale, so this charming little place may not be around after it is sold (probably by end of spring 2023).
