Isla Verde by the Beach Guest House

SO, I know it's odd to give 4 stars after rating everything else with 5 stars, but this is nothing on the room or landlord. Everything here is perfect. I'm into my second night here, and the very first day and night was PEACE AND QUIET! I walked to the beach yesterday and today and REALLY enjoyed it! Again, I reiterate, this place is wonderful! ALL kinds of restaurants in the local area too. But, of course, ALL good things must come to an end.......two women checked into the room aways from mine. They checked in earlier today and have been VERY loud and rowdy with door closings/slammings. The worse part of it is...they know I'm in this room! There is a shared bathroom door across from me along with their door diagonal/room #2. So here it is....... 1:15 a.m. after I put my frequency music headphones on--one of them just slammed the door as hard as she could. Heard it through the gotdam headphones! Almost went belly-up to the ceiling! The landlord already has quiet hours posted on the website, but they're really violating this--no respect for my existence at all. And of course, I know, if I just ask them to take it easy on the door closing.....it's just gonna get worse--more slamming. SO, all else was fine here--but I know that I can't stay here again because of the damned door slammers on this planet. IF you are sensitive to door slamming, this may not be the place for you. If it doesn't bother you....THIS IS THE PLACE. Nice, cozy atmosphere, huge TV--no barking, no crowing etc.

We booked Room no. 1 for a night! Great service from the Host, quick email reply and very helpful. Everything clean and the shared bathroom is clean and absolutely OK. Good price and when we come back this will be our first address. No complaints, thank you for everything

I had a great experience at Isla Verde by the Beach. My wife and I stayed in Room #2. It's a small but nice room with everything we needed for our two nights here (including a small cooler & two beach chairs!). The internet was great (my wife was able to lead a Zoom call). And the location was great for us to check out Isla Verde. But best of all, the host (Russell) was communicative and helpful. He even gave us a couple great recommendations for local spots to get good food/drinks. The portion of the guest house we stayed in had a shared common room, shared kitchen, and shared bathroom. This worked well for us, as we don't mind sharing space with other folks - but may be important to consider if you're looking for more privacy.

I had a really bad experience staying at this location, I left the following morning after check in. They were not specific about only bedrooms have Ac, the rest of the house was burning hot. They have Louvred windows, you hear all the noise from outsid and the couch was broken, the kitchen was well equipped and dirty. The ceilings were cracked and paint pealing off. Location was good. I canceled but did not get my money back.

Over booked. Made me cancel. Initially said my credit card was declined. Avoid.
