Island House Curacao

I made a reservation via Booking.com, had a layover in the island to continue my very long trip. The hotel advertises pick up and drop off from the airport which I asked to be arrange and on the day of arrival they told me to get a taxi because I was arriving "late" (20:00) ok fair enough! I arrived to Curacao and they sent me a message welcoming me and to my surprise when I finally make it to the hotel. The owners were out so I waited for over 3 hours and no one arrived, there's an American guy living there and he was embarrassed that I got treated like that. The poor boy had to drop me back to the airport and here I am at 00:38 in the airport and my other flight is not until 10:15. Very very poor service

This has the potential to become a 5 🌟 place however their is a few thing that they have to work on. 1. They should let potential guest know tha, they would have to share the bathroom with another guest and their is no private bathroom for you room. 2. The place was nice however there were dirty sheets and seats around the pool area. 3. They were a lot of animals on the compound, I love animals but at the same time if the cat sleeps on the chairs that your guest are going to use, they should past and clean it in the morning, the cat hair was all over the seats, this was about 10am when I noticed that. The dog should not be at the dining jumping on your guest when they are eating. Some guest my have allergies towards you pets, so you need to informed your potential guest before hand.

It was quite and chill, friendly service and good vibes theirs also a bar and pool area if you need to cool off. Anything you need from food to drinks to going anywhere in the country it’s quick and fast!

Very very nice stay! I am surprised they don’t have reviews here. We were stuck in Curacao because Aruba airport was closed so had to fight for hotels and stuff and this hotel is very very close to the airport. I would say it’s more like a nice airbnb than hotel because their houses are very big. I was skeptical before because the road leading here was quite sketchy but then this house pops out and it’s like a hidden gem. They have cats and dogs and are super friendly. Their swimming pool is pretty big and the room is exceptional clean. Everything is well equipped and the AC works. I am very happy with my stay here and the owner drives up to get KFC for dinner haha. Very very very nice experience and definitely made our horrible airport experience much better with a comfortable room and place to rest. Also WiFi signal is strong here can use it anywhere in the area. Especially by the pool.

A lot of things. First of all, the rooms do not have their own bathroom. There is only one bathroom for everyone which was not clean. Another thing was the room. The room was full of mosquitoes and a sheet was bad. In the middle of the night it began to rain and rainwater filtered into the room. It was a very uncomfortable experience.
