There are quite a few taxi service providers in St. John’s, but my wife and I were very lucky to find and choose Jamal.
We arrived by cruise ship, so we only had one day to explore the island. We wanted to see the main sights, and in addition to our wishes, Jamal took us to several other places of his own choosing along the route we had already planned — places that would have been a real shame to miss. We are truly grateful for that.
He speaks excellent English, is friendly and funny, and is very knowledgeable. He told us a lot about life in St. John’s, and he always had something interesting to say about every place we visited.
He also took his time at each stop and even took some photos for us.
To make the experience even more authentic and welcoming, we stopped for a drink at his wife Claudia’s place. She also drives a taxi, and her service has top ratings online — which I completely understand. They are both genuinely wonderful people.
I highly recommend Jamal without any hesitation.

Thank you Jamal for your Excellent service. sailed into Jolly Harbour and booked Jamal via WhatsApp before we had even reached Antigua, very friendly and knowledgeable, happy to wait while we picked up from the airport. Will definitely be using again.

We spent a great afternoon with Jamal! Pick up in jolly harbour, tour to English harbour “through” the island, visit of all sites there, back via fig tree path & coastal street. Jamal tells a lot of stories of his home Antigua, very educated as well in history. A perfect afternoon! To highly recommend !

Jamal was quite simply the best!!!!
We had a day in Antigua. He picked us up from the cruise port, and took us to our Stingray Experience. Waited for us, and took us to Dickenson Bay. He was there when we'd had lunch and a swim to take us back to the ship, via photos for Harry at the Viv Richards Cricket Stadium. lol
What made the day so special was simply Jamal's nature, kindness and general spirit. He was so polite and respectful, dressed smart, and a lovely sense of humour. Interesting young man. It was such a pleasure to be in his company for the day. What a wonderful guy. Next time, we might get to sample some of wife Claudia's cooking????? LOL
We can't recommend him highly enough. I sent him the picture we took of us, but will share it with my post. Number firmly saved for when I next return. thanks Jamal, and thank you to Jamoy for placing us in such safe hands. Ali
