I've eaten here for breakfast and dinner several times and always found the quality was better than I expected. Their bakes are best in the area by far. I've had salad, blackened fish, fried fish, chow mein, sweet potato fries and of course, macaroni pie. All great!!

Absolutely awful. Our server was extremely lazy and our food not only came out wrong, but also very burnt. I also would have never opted to eat here knowing my server would ignore us the entire experience, and make us wait well over an hour for two pizzas. Not only did we wait longer than we expected, a couple came in long after us, ordered pizzas (same as us) , and were served both their drinks & food long before us (both tables of 2). Our first few interactions with the business was amazing, kind atmosphere, amazing drinks, and absolutely amazing food, but after tonight, we will no longer come to this so called “restaurant”. GOOD RIDDANCE KANDYBAR!”

What has happened to this place. Been a regular visitor to Kandys for many years for a bit of breakfast or evening meal in what was a relaxed atmosphere with decent food. Went last night, service was atrocious, chaotic and the waitress in particular was extremely rude. Waited 30 minutes for a drink, almost an hour for our food order of pizza fries and coleslaw. The order was wrong, pizza base was undercooked. When we complained waitress rolled her eyes at us and insisted we pay 50% for the pizza plus the rest of the bill at full price. Also audacity to include service charge. The whole experience was truly dreadful and the place wasn’t even that busy. Other customers were also not happy with one lady waiting 1 hour 30 mins for a pizza. The place has definitely gone downhill. We will NOT be returning!!’

visited Kandy Bar multiple times while in Dover Beach in December. Good food, reasonable drinks and clean restaurant. Was able to visit with the owner a couple of times while waiting for my order. She was super friendly and while there was a mix-up on one order, she gave me a free beer while waiting. Ordered pizza a couple of times and a custom ordered toastee (very good)!!! The place seemed like a regular breakfast stop for many. Thanks KandyBar.

Terrible service. The waiter seemed annoyed at us whenever we asked a question about the food. They advertise having vegan options but don’t really have them. The food wasn’t good. Do not recommend.
Edit after the restaurant’s response: we asked about beyond burger and the staff said they didn’t have it. The pizza that came was inedible and seemed like they added cheese then removed it by hand. We also ordered a vegetable wrap and asked no Mayo no dairy and it came swimming in butter. So even though, in theory, you’re saying you have vegan options and you can accommodate, that’s not the case. We had to pay for food that we didn’t eat.
