This was probably the best snorkeling place we visited while in Bonaire. We saw so many turtles. There's just so much life in this area. Truly truly amazing

Best dive spot of our entire trip in Bonaire! It is a challenging entry and exit, but absolutely worth it. Be prepared for gearing up at your vehicle, then carefully making your way down the stairs to the beach area that is completely covered in large loose coral and rocks. As the waves are rolling in, your next challenge will be to traverse the uneven and slippery surfaces until you are far enough out in the water to float and finally get your fins on.
Now that the hard part is over, submerge and let the reef wall and marine life show you just how amazing it can be. Our visit had non-stop action with one interesting visual after the other. Multiple turtles, multiple types of eels, drum fish, nudies, and much more. We stayed around 50ft initially, then came back at around 30ft.
As you would expect, the exit it just as challenging, but now with your gear feeling even heavier after being weightless for the past hour. Take your time and enjoy the memories!

Wonderful snorkeling spot (can't speak on diving here but I see no reason why it wouldn't be great as well). Drive slowly as there are Iguanas around and they're not good when it comes to paying attention.

Probably my favorite spot out of the 5 or 6 that I snorkeled during our first trip to Bonaire. Coral is decent in shallow areas and variety is quite good. Don't be scared of the entry. It's not bad at all. We stayed in Rincon so this was our go-to spot for snorkeling and sunsets. There is a ledge up in the cliff that you can sit and watch the sun go down. It's probably better than 1,000 steps, just go far to the south, to the left and you'll see healthier coral formations in shallower areas. On the way back north to the entry point a slight current will carry you back. Also have to note that after rain, the water was calm and fish variety was better. Lots of puffers after rain. Also saw the biggest turtle in the island at this spot.

Fun and popular dive site. Short walk down to the water. Water was a little rough with a slight current, so it was a little difficult getting into and out of the water, even with the large concrete platform to hold on to. The wave action close to the rocks also made snorkeling close in a little more challenging, but away from the rocks was fine. Lots of sea life and coral to see. It's one the most recommended and popular dive sites on the island but further to get to. Also met a local diver who was hunting for Lion Fish with his tube.
