Fish tacos 8/10- fish was very fresh and every taco had a lot of meat. Not a big fan of the rice. Doesn’t taste like Mexican rice at all. You can tell they make their own refried beans.
Pork carne asada- not carnitas, good amount of meat. Again, not a big fan of the Mexican rice
Churro- special churros come with ice cream, which were better than the churros on their own. The churros texture was more crunchy and too dry, not the texture of a normal churro.

It was great! Missed the taste of some Mexican cuisine and this was pretty good for the Caribbean. I had the quesobirria and the Paloma drink. They didn't have a pitcher type drink option but they made a big margarita glass full of strawberry margarita (which also wasn't on the menu and we were ok to switch flavors but they accommodated us and mentioned they could do it). We tried to call ahead to try to reserve a spot if possible but there wasn't a response so we showed up and waited maybe 10 min for a table.

La Catrina is the best Mexican food I’ve had almost anywhere! The location is prime being right on the strip, the decor and murals are gorgeous, and the staff the friendliest. Highly recommend the Quesabirria and any of their cocktails. Guac is always fresh and yummy.

My family and I have lived here for about a year now. We’re from Arizona. Being far away from home and having authentic tasting Mexican food was unexpected. The folks here at La Cantina did a great job. Definitely had a little taste of home and the service was exceptional. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for Mexican food in the Caribbean.

Authentic Mexican food and the service was exceptional. We were a group of five for dinner, hungry for tacos. Sooo good. Margaritas were also yummy. Locate right on the beach with a casual atmosphere, we enjoyed our time at La Catrina while visting on this beautiful island.
