Wow ... Best meal we had on the island. We immediately made a reservation for the next day, and the owner graciously accommodated us! We started with the crab cake, goat cheese salad and yellow fin tuna. For dinner I had the ribeye (delicious) and my wife had the fillet. Dinner was keylime pie and bread pudding. The food was not on our plate long. Fantastic meal.

A Hidden Gem in Barbados – Where Flavor Meets Soul!
Le Shack is one of those rare places that captures everything you hope for in a dining experience — and then exceeds it. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere is unlike anywhere else: laid-back yet refined, full of island charm, and surrounded by the kind of warmth that makes you feel like a welcomed friend rather than a guest.
The service is truly exceptional — attentive without being intrusive, genuine, and clearly passionate about what they do. Every member of the team goes above and beyond to ensure your meal is not only enjoyable but memorable.
And the cuisine? Beyond excellent. Each dish is crafted with care, bursting with bold French Caribbean flavors and fresh, high-quality ingredients. Whether it’s perfectly grilled seafood, vibrant local produce, or a creative cocktail, everything that comes out of the kitchen feels like a work of art.
Le Shack isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience. A place where you can unwind, indulge, and connect with the true spirit of Barbados. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something authentic, elegant, and unforgettable.

Le Shack is one of the culinary highlights of Barbados.
Located within walking distance of the Crane Hotel, it offers a truly cosmopolitan cuisine that stands out from the island’s more American-inspired restaurants. European, especially French, dishes are creatively combined with Asian influences, such as delicate fish balls and a classic French steak tartare. Thanks to the exceptional quality of local fish, the seafood dishes are outstanding. The service is attentive and professional. For me, Le Shack is the best restaurant on the island.

What more can I say than absolutely sensational. Le shack offers a diverse European-styled menu with highlights for their French and Italian cuisine. Service was extremely welcoming and offered a pleasant atmosphere. Due to their location close to the Crane Hotel. The East Coast provides a stunning breeze and amazing local views. I had the Asian styled crab cakes and 14oz ribeye which embodies total perfection. Temperature was accurate and flavors were incredible. 10/10 must try again!

Le Shack is a really pretty place to eat and it is right next to The Crane Hotel. When you walk in, you feel as though you have stepped into a charming French restaurant. The ambience is lovely and the setting is beautiful. The service was very good and the staff were pleasant.
The only thing that let it down slightly was the quality of the food. The hand-cut fries were so thin and dry that they became stiff and hard. My Sprite was flat and had to be changed, and the chicken was a bit overcooked.
We hope the restaurant takes these points on board and makes improvements ( edit:we did mention this to the lady who bought the card machine to let the chef know), as the setting, service, and atmosphere are wonderful. A few changes in the kitchen could easily make this a fantastic dining experience.
