I had the fish soup with a side of sweet plantains and it was really good. I came with a large group of people last minute and they were very accommodating. The wait staff was very good and so was the food and beverages. Everyone was happy.

I stopped at Los Pinos while visiting San Juan, and it ended up being one of my favorite meals of the trip. I ordered the cerdo frito and tostones, and everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The cerdo frito was crispy on the outside but still juicy, and it had that perfect seasoned taste you only get at legit local spots. The tostones were just right too, not greasy and perfectly salted. The place has a relaxed, local vibe and the staff was friendly and quick. Even though it was busy, the service stayed consistent and the food didn’t feel rushed. Portions were generous and priced fairly, which made the whole experience even better. If you want real Puerto Rican food that tastes homemade and comforting, Los Pinos is definitely worth the stop. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Ordered their skirt steak w mofongo and it was solid. The skirt steak itself was delicious but the mofongo was a little on the dryer side. Not terrible though. Came with chimichurri on the side. Also their piña colada was great. Service was good.

You can never go wrong with this place! Great for single couple friends and even family dinners. No matter the times that I go, food quality and consistency are always there. As a local tour guide, I recognize this place as one of the best places to eat mofongo,, churrasco, fresh seafood and spiny Caribbean lobsters. I also love how they they have avocado salad year-round. A big plus, is there. Beers are always bridal cold.
