This was a good place for some great food! It is open and comfortable. The chairs were not cheap so they were comfortable to sit in for a while. Which was good because it took a long time to get our food. It was worth the wait but I am not sure if it was worth the cost. I ordered a gin and tonic and it tasted watered down. The service was slow and we had to get our own menus. We were not in a hurry so we were okay. Again, the food was delicious but not enough good stuff to go back. Thank you for the good food, Lucy's!

Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant is right on the marina, with a fantastic location right on the marina and great views. Jennifer behind the bar was fantastic and made the experience even better. My daughter tried the Scorpion Shot with the tequila—it was definitely an experience. The food was solid and the location, atmosphere, and overall experience were excellent. Definitely a fun place to stop and enjoy the marina views and vibe!

Great outdoor restaurant/bar. Very pretty view. Laidback. Excellent customer service. Menu has tacos, burgers, nachos. Some local beers- Balashi and Chill. A nice full bar with lots of tropical drinks and margaritas. Sit back and enjoy the beautiful water or watch tv.

5/5 Stars – Catch the Vibe and the Tacos!
If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with a killer view, Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar is a must-visit. I stopped by their Oranjestad, Aruba location right on the marina, and the open-air breeze combined with the boat views made for the perfect "escapist" vacation vibe.
The Food & Drinks:
Taco Tuesday: You can’t beat the value here. The beef, chicken, and fish tacos are a total steal and super fresh.
Pao Pao Shrimp Tacos: These were the standout for me—spicy, crunchy, and packed with flavor.
The Drinks: Their specialty cocktails are fun and creative. I highly recommend the "Shark Attack" (it even comes with a toy shark!) or the "Mermaid Water" for something light and refreshing.
Serious Nachos: Definitely live up to the name. They are piled high with toppings—great for sharing with a group.
The Atmosphere:
The vibe is high-energy but relaxed, often featuring live music or a DJ. It’s a great spot for people-watching, especially as the fishing charters come in. If you’re feeling brave, you can even take the Scorpion Shot to earn a t-shirt and bragging rights!
Service:
The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. Even when it got busy with the cruise ship crowds, they kept the drinks flowing and the energy up.
Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch after shopping at the Renaissance Mall or settling in for a sunset dinner, Lucy’s delivers exactly what you want from a beach bar: cold beer, great food, and zero stress. I’ll definitely be back!

Rating 7/10
Ordered: chips and salsa, taco Tues tacos: beef, chicken, shrimp, fish, chicken tenders and fries, island rice
Standouts: salsa, beef taco, shrimp taco
Notes: Service was friendly and quick, great vibes on the pier! Nice spot for some good casual food. Tacos were inconsistent with the amount of meat in them (i.e. the shrimp taco had two shrimp but was very tasty). We were not brave enough to do the Scorpion shot.
Would we go back? Sure!
