Solo and female travelers beware! The location was great for exploring Willemstad, but overall I would not stay here again.
The rooms felt dingy, and our shower still had someone else’s hair in it when we checked in, which immediately made the place feel unclean.
Also, do not waste your money on the hotel parking. They charge $10/night, but there is plenty of free parking only a 3–5 minute walk away.
The biggest issue by far is security. The hotel is directly connected to a public parking garage, and people can walk straight from the street to the elevators with essentially no barrier. There are security doors between the hotel hallways and common areas on every floor, but during our stay they were cracked open and completely inactive. That means literally anyone can come upstairs and walk directly to guest room doors.
This made us feel extremely unsafe, especially after a man tried to follow us back toward our room one night. We did bring this up to the hotel staff and they did not care and just said “ok”. This is not acceptable hotel security and I would absolutely not recommend this property for solo female travelers or anyone concerned about safety.

Our stay at Majestic City Suites was a mess from the moment we arrived. Upon check-in, our toilet was running so loudly we could hear it through closed doors. After "repairs" were attempted, it stopped flushing entirely, leaving us without functioning water for a full night and morning. This was particularly distressing as my girlfriend was on her period and was forced to use the lobby restroom.
The front desk staff were dismissive and rude, initially claiming the hotel was full before suddenly "finding" a room. However, they informed us we would have to switch back to our original room the following day, forcing us through the inconvenience of packing and unpacking twice.
Throughout this ordeal, we never received a single apology. In fact, the staff were overheard laughing loudly while in our bathroom for repairs, which felt incredibly unprofessional given the circumstances. When we sought a resolution, the hotel point-blank refused any form of compensation and would not let us speak to management about any form of restitution.
The entire situation was so clearly a service failure on the hotel's part that after Booking.com stepped in to mediate and was also ignored by the property, they decided to compensate us out of their own pockets. It says everything you need to know when a booking platform has to pay for a hotel’s mistakes because the hotel itself refuses to stand behind its service.
Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere!

Room was spacious, clean, nice balcony overlooking the street. Could hear a fair amount of street noise but wasn't an issue late at night. Good location near the punda shopping area, restaurants and the Market. Bridge to the more touristy are is also close by.
Overall a good experience and considering I booked it last minute, got a fair price

Had a terrible experience at previous hotel, so I booked with this hotel. Reached out to see if I can check in early was told no due to hotel being booked. Came in early to drop luggage off. Everyone including supervisor was present Fransciao everyone kept saying 3pm check in. I filled out all document around 2:50pm, was told room will be ready shortly. Came back around 3:20pm saying room isn’t ready no timeframe was provided. This is all after telling staff about my experience at last hotel. They kept saying due to last minute booking is reason why my room isn’t ready. But someone else came in around 3:30pm they were told the same thing about their room not being ready and no timeframe for when it will be ready. Mind you I’m traveling with an 82 year old relative.

The room was very small tried to upgrade but we couldn’t because it was carnival week and it was fully booked. But want to give a shout out to Zainab. She was amazing and really wanted to help us we were there for 9 days thank you for trying and she was always so welcoming and helpful. We had a problem with our safe and she came herself to help us.thank you Zainab. Lino and Mary Furtado. 😊
