It’s a very laid back spot! We loved the thin and crispy pizza crust. Jacqueline made our experience lovely and made her taste the home made lemonade. 🤍 About payments: they accept 2 cards only 💳 And they close at 9pm 🕘

My wife and I found the food to be ok. However they did bring out the wrong pizza the first time. Things went straight downhill after that. I’ve never seen a 12 inch thin crust pizza to cost $80 in my life. Convert that to Canadian , that’s $60. The bus boy actually asked us to remove our own napkins and put them in the garbage. Another first for My wife and I. To cap it all off with two drinks, two pizzas (8” and 12”) and a very small shared antipasto salad, we were at $200+ Barbados money. We paid less the night before at a high-end restaurant called Tapas. Finally, we had to pay at the counter where the lady at the cash was talking to someone on her cell phone while processing our payment. She actually asked “tip or no tip”. My reply… no tip. If you’re in Barbados, don’t go there.

I’ve been to Mama Mia about seven times now, and the food has been consistently delicious every single visit. The pizza is great, the desserts—especially the cheesecake—are amazing, and the overall quality of the dishes has always been reliable. The restaurant itself is also one of the most thoughtfully designed spaces on the island. Every inch of the decor feels intentional, artistic, and transporting—you really do feel like you’ve stepped into a different world. That said, the service has been lackluster at times, and occasionally even poor. It’s definitely something worth noting, especially because everything else about the restaurant is so strong. With more consistent service, this place would easily be a top-tier dining experience. Overall, I still recommend Mama Mia for the food, the ambiance, and the desserts. Just be prepared that the service can be hit or miss.

This is my 4th annual trip to Barbados, but my first restaurant review. Mama Mia was a great surprise. I've been pretty consistent about going to the same restaurants on my prior visits to the island, but I wanted to try something different. I asked the waitress what she recommended and she said the spinach ravioli or the alfredo sauce...and I said, how about both? It was great. I'm a big alfredo guy, and the sauce was excellent. The salad was fine, but who goes to a restaurant for the salad. Prices are good, my service was very good and the food was good too. I'll be back!

Read mixed reviews, thought we would give it a try. The absolute worst pizza ever!! The dough was not cooked. The cheese not melted. The sausage was breakfast sausage sliced. We took them back and asked to please heat them. No improvement. Maybe the oven is broken. But even if it was cooked, I dont see it improving much. So sad and frustrating! We can't even eat it. The bruschetta pizza had no basil on it. We asked for no onions and it was covered in uncooked onions. Just wasted $80 US.
