We visited early in the morning with our family and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The bay is sheltered and calm, with clear shallow water that is perfect for a relaxed swim. The sand is soft and clean, there is natural shade from the casuarina trees, and a lifeguard hut sits on the rocky point, which gave us extra peace of mind with the kids. What made it special was the local life around us. Soon after we arrived, a community exercise group waded into the sea for their regular morning workout. Watching seniors stretching, laughing and moving together in the water gave the whole beach a warm, welcoming feel. We ended up joining in, and everyone made us feel part of it. This is a beach where Bajans actually spend their mornings, and that made the experience feel genuine. We also bought bakes with salt fish from a vendor by the beach. They were fresh, hot and absolutely delicious! Eating them on the sand with the sea in front of us was a simple pleasure we will remember for a long time. Arrive early for the calmest water and the community atmosphere. Bring an appetite. We would return without hesitation.

Where the locals stay. We loved this beach and visited here very often. My husband doesn’t go too deep in the oceans and he was chest deep in Miami Beach.
