Very nice and calm beach. There is some natural shade on both the left and right sides. The sea is calm with almost no waves, perfect for swimming and relaxing. Many catamarans stop here, and you can often see turtles.
Here you can rent umbrellas and very comfortable couchened chairs. Same rental includes access to a toilet and Wi-Fi, which is very convenient. We rented 2 umbrellas and 3 lounge chairs for USD 30 on completely right side of the beach.
The staff are very honest and kind. My wife accidentally paid USD 50, and while we were swimming, the gentleman came back to return USD 20 and explained the mistake. His name is Kio—very professional and trustworthy.
Access to the beach is easy, with a clear passage between buildings, and it’s easy to find using Google Maps.
Highly recommended.

The place itself is good, But there is no Restaurants or any drinking facilities or washrooms on the beach, There are a lot of catamarans come here for snorkeling, Even though there's nothing to see on the bottom, just the yellow sand everywhere, There are some small fishes, nothing special. But it is a quiet place to spend an afternoon. Just be careful, it is located almost 10 kilómetros from the port, and if you come on the taxi then make sure you have a ride back.

I strongly discourage anyone from visiting Paynes Bay Beach, especially if you are arriving on a cruise ship. It is much better to go to Browns Beach near the port instead, as it is far more beautiful and clean. Our experience at Paynes Bay was shocking due to the terrible sanitary conditions; local fishermen clean their catch right there on the shore, causing an unbearable smell. We personally witnessed them carrying buckets of fish blood and remains and dumping them directly into the sea, turning the water red. This is extremely dangerous as it attracts large predators—we even saw a huge fish swimming nearby. Swimming in such water is both disgusting and frightening. Additionally, there is a major issue with transportation scams. We took a local van from the port and the driver promised to pick us up for the return trip, but he never showed up. Other taxi drivers tried to take advantage of our situation by demanding triple the price. We eventually managed to get back by paying double the normal rate. If you are on a cruise, do not risk your time or money—this beach is not worth it, and you risk missing your ship because of dishonest drivers.

White Sands, warm blue sea, great place. Even some fresh water showers and a little bar providing simple, but nice, meals and drinks.

A beautiful beach with a few vendors. Good snorkeling around the north end and up to Sandy Lane Beach. The water is calm and water color is beautiful. There are a few ways to access. One is the public access north of sandy lane one (then you walk south along the wall in the crashing waves). The others are further south. Some people use what used to be a 'bar' and step over the wall on the street side to walk back.
