This is without a doubt, the best safari you can take in Guadeloupe! I did the South Basse Terre, and I can tell you, is definitely worth it! The driver was just perfect, very flexible with pick up points and time. We were a mixed groups of English speaking people and French speaking people, and he did a great job interacting with everyone! A classic Land Rover, Jungle, waterfalls, beach, distilleries, lunch at local spots, various plantations... What else can you ask???
I will return! 🔥(I am only posting 1 photo because you truly must try it out and take your own videos and photos! I have a ton of beautiful videos and photos!)

We booked our full day Volcano tour in advance from the Netherlands and had communication through mail with William and everything was arranged perfectly with a payment link in advance. The day before our tour we received a WhatsApp with the best pickup location as parking in Deshaies has been changed from free to paid.
The start of the tour was great and William is very friendly speaks amazingly good English and really made this tour special. The trip to the Volcano was great and we took our time to get to the top and shot some great pictures.
After the Volcano we had some good lunch at a local bakery.
The next stop would be a nice river where we again shot some nice photo's and enjoyed the view.
The last stop of the day would be the Thermes de Bouillante where the hot water is mixed with the sea water, that was a great experience and we loved this stop.

We started with the death in paradise tour. It was amazing! I recommend it to everyone who loves the series. Without our guide we would not have noticed all the settings 😅
Because we had so much fun, we did the half day botanical tour directly on the next day. We saw many amazing and beautiful places and learned something about the nature 😍
I recommend it to everyone who lives near deshaies!
Huge benefit is the language, if you don’t speak French. We had a tour in German and English 😍🥳

Our party of four (two couples) from BC Canada had a wonderful “Death in Paradise” tour with William on December 11/2025. We were picked at the Municipal Parking lot of Deshaies promptly at 0830 am. We visited so many sites and it was delightful to hear many “behind the scenes” stories about episodes of the show, cast elements, “magic of cinema” tricks of the trade. William was very knowledgeable about the history of Guadeloupe as well. It was great to have such a small group so the price was worth it.
