Nice membership big box store for the caribbean.
Somewhat comparable to costco and carries brands like members select and kirkland
Has a lot of american brands and products at often good prices.
Not all items are stocked year round and items are sometimes seasonal or one off.
Items generally sold in multi packs and so may not be economical for smaller quantity needs.
Website is very helpful and allows you to check inventory and items first.
Online ordering and click and go also is good for local standards. Wait times are around 10 to 30 minutes. Depends on time of day and crowds.
Delivery is aslo reliable and mostly within an hour of the expected time frame.
Store can get crowded at times. End of month or during peak seasons. Wait times at cashier can sometimes be very long.
Meat selection is good.
Bakery goods are also nice. Salt breads donuts pastries etc.
Staff can be a hit or miss. Sometimes they are non chalant and even rude; and sometimes they are helpful and polite.

PriceSmart is not the place to go to grab a can of tuna and a pack of crackers. Shopping here is more suited for medium to large families where bulk purchases make more financial sense. You could easily spend $500+ and still not get everything you need.
There's a wide range of items to buy, from a 20 foot outdoor gazebo to frozen shrimp. We were looking for windshield wiper fluid. We found degreaser and car batteries (yes that's what I said), but no wiper fluid. Maybe it was out of stock; we couldn't find one employee who knew one way or the other.

The only issue I have is the constant asking to show my membership card I wouldn't come to shop if I didn't have one won't waste my time. However the facts that most persons you meet as soon as you enter asking for this card the attitude and the faces and looks aka body language leaves a bad taste for me as a customer but hey I've learnt to ignore ignorance.
Other than that majority of the staff are super pleasant and the assistance is easily found.

The service at Pricesmart is terrible. Staff look at you with upset faces, like they don’t want you there. No greetings, no communication, no thank you and a horrible heavy energy. Worst yet, you need a membership card to shop in a place like this. Staff seem miserable and try to make customers miserable too it seems. In there needs drastic improvements.
