Valerie was a lovely guide with well-trained, patient horses! You can tell she looks out for her animals and loves her job. I’m an avid horseback rider and horse owner back home, so I was able to enjoy a private ride just with her and our horses. She was able to accommodate me for an early morning excursion, where she took me on a special “surprise” ride to Fort Shirley in Cabrits National Park as a treat before finishing with a nice ride in the ocean. She was even kind enough to give me a ride to the SCUBA operator that my boyfriend had scheduled later in the morning! I had the chance to learn about her connections to the island, the various flora and fauna found in the area, what it takes to care for horses on Dominica, and much more - what a great way to start my day! Thank you, Valerie!

10/10 recommend! Experiencing some of Dominicas beautiful nature by horse was one of my favorite activities while visiting the island. Valerie is such a lovely woman and tour guide and her horses are extremely well kept and trained so no matter your experience/skill level you will feel safe and have a great time.

Animal welfare first, so expect to go with the horses flow. This absolutely made our experience and the price worth it. The horses were seemingly happy to work with us and our hosts were extremely friendly and gracious. Going into the water was so interesting and fun, it's a beautiful location and will definitely do it again if we make it back to Dominica.

We had a 1.5 hours ride plus a swim at the beach with a horse for our 6 year old daughter, only. Beginner-friendly. Unfortunately, due to a big construction site going on for some while, a long way at the main road. Then some forest riding, and the same way back. I had better experiences in the past. But the swim with the horse in the ocean was definitely a highlight for our daughter👍

We had an amazing experience with Rainforest Riding! Not only did we enjoy a casual, easy ride for us beginners, while learning about the plants and wildlife in the area, we also got to see all of their animals on their farm, from babies to adults! 🥰 The staff is so friendly and the horses were too. Highly recommend if you are in Portsmouth, Dominica!!
