What an amazing experience! 🌊🏄🏻♀️🤙
Everything was absolutely fantastic.
Jay and D’Angelo are both excellent coaches: patient, knowledgeable and adaptable to each person’s level.
Also able to adapt to the weather’s conditions: when weather/tide/waves allowed it, the lessons took place at Freight bay. When not, we were relocated to Drill Hall beach.
Everything went super smoothly: from the booking online to the communication before the lessons (on the where-to-go & meet)
The little plus is the possibility to take a good shower and change clothes at the shop.
They have an incredible choice of boards, both for the lessons and for the rentals.
I had never surfed before (nor practiced any other board sport), so I could’t believe it when I could stand on my board on the very first lesson.
I highly recommend Ride The Tide, and I’ll be back for sure next time I come to Barbados!

Had an amazing experience with Ride the Tide Surf School! Even though we were unlucky with the weather and our lesson had to be relocated, the team handled everything so smoothly. They communicated the changes with us immediately, made sure we had all the updated meeting details, and even checked in multiple times to ensure we knew exactly where to go.
I had my first-ever surf lesson with D’Angelo, (3 new surfers to 1 instructor) and he was an incredible instructor—super knowledgeable, patient, and really personable. Thanks to his great teaching, I was able to stand up multiple times and "Ride the Tide" during my very first lesson! The whole experience was fun, easygoing, and well-organized.
The team was super easy to communicate with, and booking through their website was a breeze. If you’re in Barbados and thinking about trying surfing, I highly recommend these guys! 🏄♂️🌊☀️

Best surf experience we have ever had. Really friendly. Chilled out. Willing to take us out last minute. All the way from sunny Scotland just to surf in warmer waters. Loved surfing with the turtles. Great banter. Thanks to jay and Di Angelo we had a awesome session.

Thanks to Jay and D'Angelo for the AMAZING ladies group session!
I actually booked a 9:30 lesson, but that time the sea was too rough and hardly manageable for me as a beginner. Jay proposed to reschedule to 15:30 and the conditions were perfect for my skill level.
After a short instruction at the beach we spent almost 2 hours in the water. The group was 5 surfers + 2 coaches, so after paddling I could catch the next wave without long waiting in the lineup. The coaches cared about our safety and kept the motivation and fun level high thoughout the entire session.
Fun fact: it was a surfing into the sunset session, which got me awesome pics.
Overall great experience, I enjoyed it a lot and will definitely come back! 🏄♀️

Wanted a solo lesson for my daughter at Ride the Tide. The instructor was professional and patient. My daughter got the hang of it quickly as Ride the Tide is located on a spot that has great starter waves for all beginners! If you want a new experience for yourself, or a family member - check them out!
