After eating very local, keeping at snackettes and simple, our dinner at Riverside just hit the spot. The portions were quite large, but the atmosphere was a bit cold - not exactly island style (but very similar to many restaurants in China). The window seats overlooking the river would have been perfect, but they were too high to allow a view of the riverside.
The food was definitely 5* and worth every penny. Was also a nice 'convenience' to be able to pay with a credit card.

one of the very few places with good vegan options with tofu, yummy veggies! the service was also very nice and attentive. definitely recommend if you are vegan/veggie around portsmouth ☺️

I thought I'd treat myself and get the grilled lobster. It was tiny and was served with some disgusting vinegar sauce rather than lobster butter. It was prepared in such a manner that it was nearly impossible to eat. My sides of mashed potatoes and steamed veggies were cold! My server was great, but that was about it. It was so dark in the place I could barely see my food (which was probably for the best).

Good customer service. The person at the front desk was very thorough with the information. Good place to eat very comfortable and clean. Food could be served faster however.
