Darin gave us an unforgettable time in Bonaire! He took us to the most beautiful snorkeling spots. He was very friendly and made us feel completely at ease. The local drinks on board were a wonderful touch and really added to the experience. He truly made us fall a little bit in love with the island. Swimming with dolphins was the cherry on top — an absolutely magical moment we will never forget. Highly recommended!

From the moment we arrived at Chachacha Beach, just a short walk from the cruise terminal, Captain Darin was exactly where he said he would be. No confusion, no waiting, no stress. Just a professional captain ready to show us why Bonaire is considered one of the world’s premier snorkeling destinations. The boat itself was immaculate. Not “vacation brochure” clean—actually clean. Every detail was well-maintained, organized, and thoughtfully prepared. It was incredibly comfortable for our family of four and easily had room for a larger group without feeling crowded. What truly made the excursion exceptional, however, was Captain Darin himself. He struck that rare balance between professional captain, local expert, and genuinely enjoyable host. He was friendly without being overbearing, informative without sounding scripted, and clearly passionate about both the island and the waters surrounding it. You get the sense that he isn’t simply taking tourists out on a boat—he genuinely enjoys sharing Bonaire with people. And then there was the snorkeling. I’ve been fortunate enough to snorkel in several locations over the years, and what Captain Darin showed us ranks among the most incredible underwater experiences I’ve ever had. Crystal-clear water, vibrant marine life, and locations that I never would have found on my own. Every stop seemed better than the last. In fact, my only regret about the entire excursion is that I booked the two-hour charter. I should have booked longer. The trip ended far too soon, not because the tour was lacking, but because we simply weren’t ready for it to be over. That’s probably the highest compliment I can give any excursion. If you’re visiting Bonaire—especially on a cruise—and you’re considering a snorkeling adventure, stop looking. Book Salty Tours. Whether you’re an experienced snorkeler or trying it for the first time, Captain Darin will make sure you have an experience worth remembering. When my family returns to Bonaire, we won’t be shopping around for another excursion. We’ll be booking with Salty Tours again, and this time we’ll be reserving a longer charter. My family of five had a wonderful four hour private boat tour with Salty Tours (Captain Darin). Communication from start to finish was timely and on point. Darin was charismatic, patient, and shared many details of Bonaire and it's people. Snorkeling was great, so many tropical fish. Kids really enjoyed high speed tubing! Highly recommended, will definitely book with Darin @ Salty Tours on future visits to Bonaire!

We had a fabulous afternoon on the water with Darin! We were a group of nine people, including one child and three teenagers, and he had drinks, snorkelling equipment, noodles, and lifejackets for all. He took us around the island to a few beautiful snorkelling sites and told us about the local culture and growing up in Bonaire. As an added treat, he pulled a tube behind the boat and we had a blast. I strongly recommend Salty Tours to everyone looking for a great time in Bonaire! Just three minute walk from the cruise terminal.
