The Villa was clean and presentable. Had everything we needed including the peace and quiet

Beautiful spot right on the beach. Pretty quiet area so you'll have to drive twenty or thirty minutes for groceries, and longer than that to get to the 7 mile beach area. The unit we stayed in for 2 weeks was a 2 bedroom/2 bath, second back from the water on the left side looking from the road. It was clean and comfortable, but a bit dated and starting to show it's age, however we would stay again in a heart beat. The units are all screened in so you have a refuge from the bugs in the evening. The beach here is very nice but on the smaller side, so no long walks possible. The water has a very short grass carpet throughout the first 10 or 20 feet, but clears to sandy bottom after that. There is a long reef that runs parallel to the shoreline about 100 feet or so out where we heard there was good snorkeling, but it was a bit far for our liking and always seemed a bit too wavy. Closer to shore there are smaller structures and plants with plenty of fishies (even barracuda if you're lucky). If you are looking for a nice secluded spot to relax, this is it. If you want to visit the 7 mile beach area frequently, you'll be doing a lot of driving through a decent amount of one lane traffic.

While the inside of vacation rental Sea Lodge we stayed in ( for 2 weeks)was very nice and had a great view the outside and beach was very windy which really negatively affected the experience. No one seems to mention the strong wind in reviews but it seems to keep the beach relatively empty most days and locals tell me the strong winds are typical for this area much of the year.

We stayed here a few years ago and it was great. It's very quiet on this side of the island. Not much to do so don't expect a lot of action or restaurants. The beach area out front is great and we even were lucky enough to see a turtle nesting.

Such a wonderful place to bring my family on vacation. We booked #24 and enjoyed the quiet, peaceful, almost private beach for several days. There are great snorkeling spots 30 yards from the beach and one of the most awesome drift snorkeling routes on the entire island is right outside of your door. I snorkeled from the beach to the rum point Coral gardens and saw amazing sea life including a spotted eagle ray. It's within walking distance to rum point, and a short drive to starfish point and the Kaibo yacht club. It's a 45 minute drive from the airport, but this side of the island is REALLY laid back and much less crowded than Georgetown. If you're looking for a place to get away from the crowds and chillax then this is the place for you.
