I stayed here with my partner while I was working in Cayman, and I can say that this is the perfect place for anyone looking to either work or holiday in the Cayman Islands! It's very easy to get to from the airport, and has some great places to eat nearby.
The staff were absolutely amazing, Rose and Althea made sure we had everything we needed. Even lending us a plug converter when we forgot ours! I cannot thank them enough for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable.
The breakfast is a big bonus, a perfect start to the day. Especially the fresh mangoes every morning! A real treat, and one we certainly miss now we're home.
The B&B also has bikes! So you can go out exploring some of the nearby peninsula. As well as snorkelling gear/suncream which made our lives so much easier when we wanted to go out swimming.
When I'm back in the Cayman Islands this will always be my first choice to stay, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place.

My family & I decided on a long weekend getaway to Grand Cayman and I am so glad we stayed at this GEM while we were there. The rooms are comfy, the property is beautiful, and Rose is so accommodating and simply, THE BEST. She went above and beyond in every way, and gave some wonderful recommendations as well. We will definitely be coming back here the next time we are in Grand Cayman! Thank you Rose!!

If you are looking for peaceful and tranquil location this is for you. I loved my stay at Shanghai-la and will most definitely be going back. Rose is amazing she helped with so many good recommendations and made my stay on the Island enjoyable and affordable. This will definitely be on my yearly list. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The grounds are meant to help you relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. I love this place!!!!

We chose to stay here, despite it being a little further out, based on the brilliant reviews. We are so glad we did; the location is quiet, clean and the host Rose is so friendly and helped with our many queries about parking in the town, extra towels, laundry - the lot! Nothing was too much trouble. The housekeeping staff were also lovely, we appreciated the small details like the folding of towels to resemble shells. It’s a beautiful property and you can see the care that goes into running this place. Thank you Rose and team from your friends in the UK!

My husband and enjoyed our stay. Rose met us when we arrived and everyone took such good care of us. Do order the breakfast! It was wonderful both mornings. We enjoyed being served in the screen porch overlooking the pond. Be sure to look for the turtles.
We stayed in the Travelers room for two nights and had a lovely balcony with a view of the pond. Such a peaceful and serene setting. The pool and grounds are really nice and were perfect on a very hot day.
There are chairs and snorkeling gear available for the many beaches just a short drive away.
This was our first trip to the Cayman Islands, and we will be back.
