I stayed here with my partner while I was working in Cayman, and I can say that this is the perfect place for anyone looking to either work or holiday in the Cayman Islands! It's very easy to get to from the airport, and has some great places to eat nearby.
The staff were absolutely amazing, Rose and Althea made sure we had everything we needed. Even lending us a plug converter when we forgot ours! I cannot thank them enough for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable.
The breakfast is a big bonus, a perfect start to the day. Especially the fresh mangoes every morning! A real treat, and one we certainly miss now we're home.
The B&B also has bikes! So you can go out exploring some of the nearby peninsula. As well as snorkelling gear/suncream which made our lives so much easier when we wanted to go out swimming.
When I'm back in the Cayman Islands this will always be my first choice to stay, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place.

We chose to stay here, despite it being a little further out, based on the brilliant reviews. We are so glad we did; the location is quiet, clean and the host Rose is so friendly and helped with our many queries about parking in the town, extra towels, laundry - the lot! Nothing was too much trouble. The housekeeping staff were also lovely, we appreciated the small details like the folding of towels to resemble shells. It’s a beautiful property and you can see the care that goes into running this place. Thank you Rose and team from your friends in the UK!

The Shangri La is an absolute gem of a B&B. We selected it because we were looking for a quiet place far from the large hotels . What we actually found was a welcoming home, not just a functional accommodation. The facilities are great (hammock, pool, hot tub, beach towels etc). The rooms are very clean and comfortable, yet also private. The fully equipped kitchen is accessible at all hours, and breakfast on the deck is in a very peaceful setting. All these are important considerations in a relaxing place to stay . But what made the Shangri La truly memorable is the folks who run it. We have rarely had stays where we felt so genuinely welcome. Rose, who manages the operation, is especially accommodating. Our flight arrival was well before check in time, and we stopped by just in case our room was ready. It wasn’t, but we waited in the comfortable lounge and they made up the room very quickly. We would have been fine to just leave our bags and return later, but this way we were able to settle in and unpack. Throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble for Rose, and we recommend the Shangri La very highly.

This was my third time staying at the Shangri-La and each time it feels more and more like family! Being greeted immediately upon arrival by Miss Rose is the best part. The rooms are spacious, incredibly clean, and walk right out into peaceful windchimes and the sound. I will absolutely stay here each time I come back, it is affordable and still less than 2 miles from all the best areas (bikes for rent are available too if you don't feel like renting a car). The most peaceful, hospitable, and easy place I have experienced! Thank you Rose, Venus, and the Shangri-La family!

This was our first trip to Grand Cayman but it won't be our last. The island itself is beautiful and the food scene is truly exciting but the icing on the cake was the incredible hospitality and comfort we experienced at the Shangri-La B&B. The venue is charming and while it's not within walking distance to those clear turquoise waters of Seven Mile Beach, it is less than 10 minutes by car. We loved that after walking the beach each morning, we could leave the wall to wall hotels along the water and return to the tranquility of Shangri-la. Rose, couldn't have been more welcoming, gracious and helpful throughout our one week stay. She and Haltia brought the true people factor that you just don't always get in larger establishments. Thank-you both and we'll see you next year!
