South Point Hotel Barbados

We decided to book a stay at South Point Hotel to celebrate my son’s 16th birthday. The hotel’s aesthetics are very pleasing, and it is exceptionally clean. What truly stood out to me was the service, especially from Kim and the other two servers whose names I did not catch. From our very first dinner, Kim and the other server created a warm and welcoming space for my family. They even added birthday glitter and a tablecloth to make the night extra special. Kim consistently demonstrated what exceptional service looks like, and it was evident throughout our entire stay-it wasn’t just for show. On the other hand, there were a few drawbacks. All meals are a la carte, as there is no buffet available, and the costs seemed high relative to portion sizes-for example, I paid $28 for just three shrimp. The hotel could also improve its menu options, particularly by offering more lunch choices for children. Additionally, entertainment at the hotel is virtually non-existent, which is something families might want to consider. Overall, while the service-especially from Kim was outstanding, the dining and entertainment options left room for improvement.

I had a “daycation” at South Point while visiting family in Barbados, and we had an amazing time. The hotel is beautiful and tastefully decorated. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food was great at the Driftwood restaurant, and the salt water pool didn’t disappoint my two year old. As impressive as the hotel is, the staff made our time at the hotel truly memorable. From making the reservation via email with Nahila, to Melanie’s amazing service in the restaurant and the many others who were so gracious- this is a dream team! I would highly recommend this hotel to visitors and local Bajans looking for an on-island getaway.

The room was amazing! Spacious, comfortable, we did not want to leave! The amenities were impressive as well! The staff is fantastic! Attentive, kind, and very professional! Top tier hotel! 10/10 would recommend. I forgot a few small belongings there, and the staff were able to find it, store it and allow for it to be collected safely! Fantastic customer service! Only caveat is the one access road that needs some TLC.

We stayed here for a whole week with our little daughter and had the best time in a perfect ocean view room. Literally every single staff member was professional, wholeheartedly supportive and welcoming. Don’t miss out on Oistins fish fry, particularly on Friday nights. Enjoy!

Did not stay here, but had dinner one evening. The property is a beautiful boutique hotel. It is very well taken care of and the restaurant was excellent. There is a beach, but it is a walk. It is within 15 minutes of the busy bar and restaurant area. The pool is small but very well taken care of. The restaurant staff were extremely nice and helpful. I wish we would have stayed a few days here, the rooms and property look amazing.
