• Do not lift the starfish out of the water. They breathe through their tube feet and being exposed to air stresses and can kill them. Admire, photograph underwater, leave them where they are. The local guides are strict about this now and rightly so. • Go early. We got there mid morning and had space to ourselves. By late morning the catamaran tours roll in and it gets crowded fast. • Pair it with Rum Point or Kaibo for lunch, they are a short drive away and make it a full half day loop from Seven Mile Beach. • Bring water shoes if you are sensitive underfoot, there are occasional rocks and shells in the grass. Genuinely one of the most peaceful hours of our Grand Cayman trip. Simple, natural, no ticket booth, no lines, just the reef flats and the stars. Highly recommend.

★★★★★ Starfish Point was one of our family’s favorite spots in Grand Cayman! Even though we were staying on Seven Mile Beach, we made the drive all the way out twice because our kids loved it so much. The water is calm, clear, and shallow, making it a great place for children to snorkel and safely explore. Seeing the starfish up close was such a unique experience and something our kids will remember for years to come. The beach itself is peaceful, beautiful, and feels like a hidden gem compared to some of the busier areas of the island. We visited once on a weekday and once on a weekend during the off-season in June. While it was never overcrowded, we could definitely see how popular it is, especially when tour boats arrive with snorkelers. Even with a few boats nearby, there was still plenty of room to enjoy the water and take in the stunning scenery. If you’re visiting Grand Cayman with children, Starfish Point is absolutely worth the drive. It’s a beautiful, relaxing place to spend a few hours and experience a special part of the island.

Starfish Point is an absolute must-visit in the Cayman Islands! It’s a beautiful, shallow spot where you can see plenty of starfish in their natural habitat. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a stingray gliding through the clear water near the shore. A few tips for the best experience: • Timing is Everything: I highly recommend going early in the morning. It’s much quieter, and more importantly, it makes finding a parking spot significantly easier before the midday crowds arrive. • Setup: Many people bring a beach or camping tent to set up for the day. There isn't much natural shade, so having your own "home base" makes it much more comfortable for a long stay. • Snorkeling: While the starfish and occasional stingray are amazing, don't expect a full reef experience here. There isn't much else in terms of snorkeling, but the shallow, calm water is perfect for wading and relaxing.

Excellent location to see the starfish. Saw quite a few starfish in the water. The water was around waist deep. Great spot to just hang out in water and enjoy seeing starfish. We drove our rental car over. Not a lot of parking so might be difficult to park if driving.

Great starfish viewing, absolutely lives up to the name. The beach is a mosquito heaven and the waters are murky and full of jelly fish however. It is also a party boat stop and not very peaceful and relaxing.
