2/2/26-Now we arrived in Barbados, and I have never been here before. My hubby and I decided to hire a private taxi and take a private tour. We met Vanessa, the sweet lady who would drive us all over the island. I told my husband, “Today we are explorers, like Columbus, but with Google Maps and sunscreen.”
First, of course, Vanessa took us to see the neighborhood where Rihanna grew up before she became a superstar. I imagined little Rihanna singing in the streets while the neighbors were saying, “That girl is going somewhere!” Vanessa also showed us the place where Rihanna has her condominiums—though I think they are more like fancy penthouses for people who don’t even look at price tags.
On the way, we stopped at a gas station so Vanessa could get what she called “petrol.” They actually fill the tank for you! I haven’t seen that service since my childhood days in my country.
So far, I love this island. The colors are bright, the air smells like ocean and fried food at the same time, and even the goats are walking around look relaxed. It reminded me of Psalm 24:1, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” Truly, God made some beautiful corners on this planet.
I am writing this little by little, from where we started and where we are going, so you can follow along on our adventure. Proverbs 16:9 says, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” Well, today the Lord established our steps through Vanessa and her very chatty taxi!
More stories coming soon—if the Wi-Fi and my memory don’t fail me at the same time.

Rubis station in Holetown is quite popular among locals for fueling up, purchasing bottled gas, a 24 hours mini market and a fast food chain restaurant.
Though limited in parking spaces, the station is clean and well kept with helpful service staff to serve you.
Ideally situated near many conveniences in the area such as hotels, fine dining and casual restaurants/bars, beaches, banks, a flagship supermarket, boutiques/shops, and a Civic centre with police station...a nice centered location.

Large service station with quite a well stocked shop attached to it, spacious parking and a newly opened Burger King.

City of London My Hot Spot for business meetings lunch & dinner & peace of mind time of reflection of day 2 day life up & down London thousands trillions millions of vehicles. Restaurants Bar's Pubs are great once we slow down building construction sites with Old Time Water 💧 Works With damage to the highway roads pavement. I look at how I walk around London & the type of planning that has gone into making the changes in London. I never drink the water from taps fountains which has been put their by who ever based on what I see Ground Zero. History Heritage

The staff of this branch are soo friendly. It’s usually very busy but they always find a way to greet you with a smile. There is an older guy there with Locs he is always so happy to explain stuff! Love going there
