We only stayed for two days, however we had a great experience. The owner and staff were very welcoming. The rooms were clean and the bed mattress was comfortable, the room had a beautiful view. I really liked the minimalist yet beautiful style of the decorations. It is a walk in and out to the beach. They offered European breakfast and was great. The Sparrow’s Beach Club is within walking distance, about 10 minutes, the road has a small non habitable part but only for a few minutes and was safe to walk day and night.
I would recommend this place if you happen to need a place to stay in this area.

My friend and I travelled to Union Island and stayed at The Islander’s Inn for 3 nights and I only have good things to say.
Sandra (the owner) had arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the ferry and when we arrived we knew we had stumbled across a gem. Around a 5 minute drive from the main town of Clifton, the hotel is situated on what feels like a private beach with a view of Maryeau. The rooms are clean and decorated beautifully to reflect the natural aesthetic of the bay outside. Ours had a balcony where we could watch the waves during the day and the sunset in the evening.
We had breakfast at the hotel and it certainly hit the spot, filling us up for our adventures around the island. The cook was lovely and made us feel welcome. The lady who cleans the rooms was also friendly, greeting us with a smile and a friendly word when passing.
Sandra kindly provided us with a couple of numbers for local taxis which we used to explore the island - visiting Clifton, Ashton and going to various restaurants and beach bars around. She was attentive throughout and also provided us with her contact details should we need anything during our stay.
We had a wonderful time and I can’t recommend The Islander’s Inn enough.

My wife and I stayed here for five days in January 2022. The hotel is small and pretty quiet, being about a 10 -15 minute walk to Clifton. There is a small sandy beach directly in front of the hotel, and it is about a ten minute walk to bigger beaches in front of Sparrow's beach bar. There is a great walk from the hotel up to the old French fort with amazing views of Union Island and also of Tobago Cays. We stayed in the "family" room which was very nicely appointed with cooking facilities, and a lovely view. Sandra, the host, and her staff were very helpful, and the food we had there was freshly cooked and tasty. Don't expect a full-service hotel but rather a quaint, low key and charming place, which suited us perfectly.

Large rooms, a little tired, great location on beach however a good 25 mins walk from town. One restaurant a little closer but pricey. Because of the location, a simple breakfast offered would be helpful. Mosquito coils should be offered. Difficult to enjoy the large balconies because of the bugs. Hotel ran out of water to shower twice in our 3 days.

Great hospitality in a peaceful, quiet location a 15 minutes walk from town. Lovely view of a beach with a reef. Low surf labor waves just down the beach, and further in there’s a sheltered bay.
Rooms vary in size and amenities- so let Clyde and Sandra know what you’d like. We chose AC but wished we had just had a fan so that we could hear the waves at night.
Sadly we didn’t get to try Clyde’s cooking but heard great things and it smelled wonderful - just make sure to give them notice.
Overall a lovely spot with very accommodating hosts - and do note that the hill walk mentioned by some reviewers is just one option- there’s a much flatter walk to town that takes the same time.
