The Red Shop came highly recommended by a local on the island, and it did not disappoint. The food was very tasty, especially the Fish Platter, Brownes Gap Burger, and the Shop Snack.
Parking can be a bit challenging since you have to find street parking, but the food and overall experience make it well worth the effort.
If you're visiting Barbados and looking for authentic local food, The Red Shop is a must-visit destination.

Saw ‘The Red Shop’ as an add on instagram and decided to go check it out. Got there about 1pm; the restaurant wasn’t crowded, few people were there waiting on their orders. I ordered shrimp loaded fries; asked how long my wait time would be and was told 20 mins.
The wait wasn’t bad for a done to order meal. There’s a small bar area where you can buy beverages to go with your meal or if you just want to have a drink while you wait. Adequate seating is available for a small number of people.
The food was worth the wait; it tasted really good and was properly prepared. The place is a little dated and would do well with a facelift.
My order was to go so I didn’t use the seating area.
Overall; based on food quality, taste and portion. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

First time buying from here and food was excellent, the staff was pleasant and I was told that my order was going to be ready by a certain time and it was ready by said time. I had the grilled chicken, grilled potatoes and coleslaw.
