Update 11.02.26 Thank you for your updated response. I appreciate that you have now acknowledged there was an issue, whether with the card machine or the bank, which resulted in customers experiencing unauthorised additional charges. However, I was disappointed with your initial response to my review, which was only intended to make others aware I felt my concerns were dismissed by you and I was told there was no proof to support my claim (and there is support in terms of a receipt and bank statement showing a higher amount) and that I had come to your country to 'pull you down'. The tone of that response made it difficult to feel comfortable to  resolve the matter directly and I very much believe I would have had the same response had we visited you in person. I feel the situation could have been handled more constructively from the outset. For your information the date you referenced in your reply does not match the night we attended your venue so this must have occurred on other dates as well. I am pleased that the issue has now been acknowledged and hope steps are being taken to prevent this happening to others in future. Initial Review We went to see David and his band and they are brilliant. The food was quite nice as you would expect. We went in the full knowledge that we would be paying 40BBD for the two of us to see David and the band. I was also fully aware that the drinks and food would have a 10% service charge which it says is shared across all staff which I think is entirely reasonable when the food and service is okay which it was. We would also additional tip staff with cash if we felt there had been someone who had gone above and beyond for us. When the bill came, and we spent a considerable amount on drinks and food over about 3hrs, it included the service charge and the card machine gave us an option to add an additional tip. We chose not to by pressing the appropriate button as we were happy with the service charge already applied to the bill. The payment showed on my bank as a pended transaction and the following day this was removed and a new figure applied which equated to an additional 10%. I have no idea how they have done this but fortunately we have the original receipt so will be taking it up with the bank on our return home. I was quite happy with everything there until this happened and it has soured our view on this venue. They are clearly a business who need income, understably so, but there has been a theme in the reviews of grabbing every dollar they can from you. I await your response.

The food was good but a bit pricey for what is served. Its more of a lounge atmosphere, being a converted from lawn but prices are more of the mid-tier restaurant type. Usually has great wholesome entertainment, which you prepay for at the door as a non-reclaimable entrance fee.

This place is a hidden gem. We were looking for something to do on a Sunday evening and decided to take a chance and go see the Bob Marley tribute act. It was a vibe 😎 we returned the next evening to see Kiah who was also amazing and so sweet ♥️ the drinks are also very good 🍸 we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Barbados.
